My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Tiffany for two nights in September, 2006. When we arrived at the check-in time of 3:00, we were given keys to the room only to find that the room had not yet been cleaned, and we had to wait for 1/2 hour for that to be done. Aside from that, the hotel staff was very gracious and accomodating, and we were always offered the free coffee located in the office area, and took advantage of the free Internet service provided there to E-mail our children. The room, once cleaned, was just average, although comfortable. Breakfast in the form of fresh rolls delivered daily with cold cuts, orange juice, and yogurt provided daily in the mini-frig in the room was just OK, but enough to get us going. The room was nicely located in the Vesterbro area close to Central Station and Tivoli Gardens (where we caught the season's closing night with parades, a rock concert, etc!) and other historic sites, etc. However, I would recommend Nyhaven as a more romantic, colorful, trendy upscale area of the city to stay in. Although Copenhagen is a wonderful city and appears to be quite safe, we were vaguely uncomfortable walkng through the Vesterbro area late at night.
