Location of hotel, on Helgolandsgade three blocks from the main railway station, is very convenient. 15 minutes on foot or less, many attractions are within reach: Tivoli amusement park, city hall and square from which many buses run through the city and to suburbs, national museum, pedestrian stree "Strøget," Copenhagen city museum, Christiansborg Castle (Danish Parliament and site of most interesting archaelogical diggings), stock exchange, etc., etc. Since it is so close to the railway station, one can easily come from the airport on the train (20 minutes' ride), leave by Reventlowgade exit to the left, walk down Istedgade two blocks to Helgolandskade, turn right and go half block to reach hotel. Hotel is built around a nice courtyard where one can sit most pleasantly when weather is nice. Rooms are decent size for two people (but in Denmark as elsewhere in Europe small by US standards), bathroom with excellent shower, sink and toilet is spotless and gleaming, all making for a comfortable stay. During our three day stay we remarked how quiet it was. Free internet use in lounge where there is also coffee machine. Breakfast buffet is very good with choice of breads and rolls, pastries, cold cuts, several cheeses, cereals, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages, also boiled eggs. Breakfast room is served by several friendly and alert persons and dishes are replenished frequently. Since we know Copenhagen very well, we do not have to rely on staff for touring advice, etc., but they seem very polite, interested and undoubtely well informed. We found this hotel on Best Western website and obtained room at 837 Danish kroner per night, breakfast included, which compared to other hotels and high prices in Denmark generally was an extremely good deal. We were very pleased and recommend this hotel.

“Great Staff and Accomodations!!”

Best Western Hotel Hebron

My wife and I have been Best Western guests here in North America for many years when traveling . So naturally I thought a 3 night stop at the Best Western Hotel Hebron in Copenhagen would be more than suitable for us before we departed on an European Explorer trip with Princess Cruises. It was a wise choice as we had perfect accommodations, excellent buffet breakfasts that included not only European delicacies, but good old N.A. bacon, eggs, sausages and pancakes. The Hotel Hebron was also perfectly located for us as we had a 3 day CPH traveling card which allowed us free passage on trains, buses and entrance to a number of amusement centers such as Tivoli Gardens (within walking distance) and many museums and art galleries. Also close to the Best Western was a fine restaurant Golden Bamboo at 41Vesterbrogade where we had 2 delicious dinners (prime rib one night and excellent seafood the other night). Mr. Keung Yau Senior Manager was an excellent host and provided good tips on places to visit and items to consider purchasing. The 4 days in Copenhagen before our cruise commenced was a great start before a fabulous cruise.

The definition of functional according to the Oxford minidictionary is practical and not decorative or luxurious and I feel this sums up perfectly the mini suite which my wife and I stayed in. It met all our needs and it was clean. I had a look into what I think was a superior bedroom and this was reasonably large. The range of the breakfast buffet was in my opinion was just on the borderline of being acceptable and nothing more. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is well situated for arrival by train from the airport.

Great hotel and a central location. The breakfast buffee was massive and the staff helpfull and proffesional. Our room was clean and comfortable. Really don't have anything negative to say about it besides the fact that we booked a room with a double bed but instead got a room with 2 seperat beds. I would recommend this to anybody who wants a nice, clean comfortable hotel in Copenhagen.

Stayed for a weekend break in September 2004. Good large clean room. Close to train station and walking distance from all major tourist attractions. Would go again.
