The hotel is situated 10 minutes from Stockholm central station using the subway. I was there on business and also had meetings in the hotel. Meeting facilities are good.
I got a upgraded room with an extremely modern look.
One can always discuss this style, to me it's a bit too cold. Check out the pictures for details.

The bathroom has only glass walls!!! This solution is somwwhat special if you are more than one person in the room.
The bed was very comfortable and the room also had a flat screen tv.

The hotel restaurant was quite adequate. There are no other good restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Only some bars at he next door shopping mall.

Breakfast was well above average with a good selection of everything.

basically, I'd say this hotel is a good option for the business traveller if you have some meetings in the area where the hotel is located. As a tourist, however I would opt for a more central location.

The Globe is a typical chain hotel which has its benefits and drawbacks. Check-in is efficient as it has to be in a large hotel, you know exactly the kind of identikit furniture and room layout you'll get when you open the door to your room and everything is clean and tidy enough.

What you don't get is much sense of personal service or character in the hotel.

The Globe is easy to find, situated right next to the massive Globen arena and a shopping centre (which seemed to be strangely deserted the whole time we were there!). It is easy to travel to the central areas of Stockholm on the metro (5 mins walk away).

Breakfast was OK, if a bit of a bun-fight due to the large number of guests in the hotel. A nice quirk was to be able to eat overlooking the inside of the Globen arena.

In summary, the hotel is easy to book online and good value for Stockholm - just don't expect anything memorable about the hotel aspect of your stay in the city!

This hotel was very nice, the room was very spacious and the staff were very friendly. The staff all spoke very good English which was a help when we wanted to find out some information on the local area. The breakfast was good, as typical it was a help yourself buffet which had lots to choose from. Our view from our room was of the 'Globe' which is connected to the hotel.
Although it might seem pricey it is a definite place to stay and is recommended, however make sure you have a map as it is quite far out compared to some of the other hotels.

Not terrific for a supposedly good hotel. Rooms in need of redecorating, no tea/coffee facility in room (or lobby), creaky lifts, but a great breakfast and (for Sweden) reasonable value restaurant.
