Sky Hotel Apartments sets the standard for this sort of facility. Too often one reads of poor maintenance, unavailable reception etc. Sky is staffed professionally and helpfully at all times. Our apartment, a standard 2 person studio, was smartly decorated and furnished, and though not large, was far from cramped. The bathroom was spacious with a good shower.

Breakfast was included in our price. As some have reported, you have to go down separate stairs for that, but that wasn't a problem. It was a reasonable continental buffet breakfast, which we found set us up well for a day's sightseeing.

The building looks grey and anonymous in some of the pictures and indeed this is an area with a lot of offices, but it's not unpleasant. This isn't the tourist heart of Stockholm but it's a very quick run to the centre from either of the two nearby underground stations. And there's also one of the Citybikes stations (Stockholm's Boris bike equivalent) round the corner. We made good use of that, thanks to the excellent cycle tracks.

This hotel is great for both long term and short term accommodation. The rooms are big and are equipped with a small kitchenette and fridge. It is in an excellent location with a metro stop just around the corner, or a scenic half an hour walk to the city centre. It is located near a grocery store that is open until 10pm. The staff are very friendly. On our arrival we were given a map and shown where all the sights and attractions were. Breakfast was included and offered a lovely selection of cheeses and meats, as well as breads, eggs and cereal (from memory). It is in a quiet area and we rarely heard any noise from inside or outside the hotel at night. The bed was comfortable, but it would have been nice if it were slightly larger.

Recommended!

The Sky Hotel Apartments are well situated, with only a five minute walk to the tube station. The line will easily take you to the old town or shopping districts!
We arrived quite late in the evening and the check-in was very smooth. All reception staff have been nothing but helpful and informative.
We booked a large studio which has been ideal for our four night stay. It boasts twin beds, dining table, kitchenette and seating area. All of which is incredibly comfortable and clean. The only small draw back is the bathroom, it is a walk-in shower and due to insufficient drainage it floods the entire bathroom!
The breakfast is great, a large selection of breads, cheese, meat, cereal and yoghurt - all fresh and of a high quality.
I have given this accommodation five stars as even though it didn't have the wow factor I couldn't name anything I would change. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone!!

I recently stayed at this hotel for a weekend and even though it is not in the center of the city, it is very easy to go by the metro to all the places you would like to visit.

The apartment is small but functional, there is a kitchenette which is very good, but really needed a toaster to be even better.

We were unfortunate enough to stay at the Midsommer period and practically everything was closed and we had to make our own meal the first evening. Bought the food stuff at the 7/11 which is close to the hotel.

Staff I found was rather dumb, they never understood any question until you had repeated it ral times, which is quite annoying.

We stayed at Sky Hotel apartments for four nights in August 2013.

Rooms are spacious and staff are very accommodating. The apartments are located about a 10 minute walk from the nearest subway stop so are well placed to explore the city. There is a large supermarket about 5 minutes walk from the hotel which is ideal for any shopping needs.

Breakfast is good but get there early as it gets very busy but there was a plentiful supply of food and coffee.

No wow factor but you get what you pay for, which is a nice relaxing stay in a great city!
