When you go to a hotel chain you already know, usually you are ready to expect the same standards of quality, and this wasn't an exception.

Scandic hotels use to be fairly big, with scandinavian modern and simple desgin and very generous breakfast.

This one also was pretty good priced. We got a double room for 700 SEK, which is very nice for the very expensive Stockholm. The room had no windows, and if you stopped to think about it, maybe it was a bit claustrophobic, but we didn't really notic much, since overall the room was big and pleasant.

Also, the hotel is very well placed around a very lively area in Sodermalm, with lots of bars and activities, and is just a nice walk til the main tourist areas of the city.

Recommended for quality, price and location. And the breakfast! :-)

Nice hotel, special we got good price, compared with others in Stockholm.

Also, we had a early check in ( 12 noon ) as requested. Staff in the reception very polite and friendly.

Good location, clean rooms and confy beds. The triple room had the 3rd bed, folding off the wall ! Not as expected but ok.

The breakfast was good, apart the coffee !, which was horrible ! Take my advice and have tea instead lol :)

There was no kettle in the room though - take your own - very handy !

Overall a very good stay.

Ok, the hotel is nicely located in Stockholm, walking distance from most places, but once inside you feel like you've been caught by the gestapo.

Corridors are ugly, with plain doors in light wood, and awful posters on the walls. Once inside, the room is smaller than you'd give for you guinea pig, and almost have to sit on the toilets to have your shower.

The hotel is in a very busy area, sleeping with window open is impossible. Parking your car is not possible, not even to just unload suitcases (taxi's are blocking the entrance). Desk staff is unfriendly. Breakfast is very hectic, much too many people, you have to eat with a plate on your lap, or standing if you are not lucky. Nice is a special children's corner. Elevators are nuisance, one has to stand in line each time for going up and down, capacity not sufficient, and they are among the smallest I have ever seen.
All in all, we would not return there, there are much better hotels in Stockholm
