I checked in with my mother and as on the confirmation had requested late checkin I checked in at 23-05pm on the 1-7-08 I also asked for 2 beds in the room .checkin was normal on problems i had paid for my room in adavce so when asked for credit card i gave my mestro which they didnt take so i offered to put cash on my room for extras which the answer was no but they took my passport instead i have no problems with that.
when i got to my room it was 1 bed for me and my mother. so i went down to reception and a girl this time was dealing with me she was very professional in the issue i had with 1 bed she was sorry and tried to get me another room . it was at that stage she said she had no more twin rooms she then offered to upgrade me free and gave me a bigger room and extra bedding to which i agreeded iam easy going and she tried to move on the system and was not able to do she got a member of staff called Tom and he said he had a twin room and it would be an upgrade but i would have to pay for it remember i had booked a twin room i declined and told him what i had booked he didnt want to listen and then he asked me why I hadnt gave a credit card or cash to which he replayed i'll sort that out later he should have know better i thought what happened behind the work place should not be seen by guests. Tom aslo made me feel a 2nd class person because i had paid by expedia and tried to blame them to which i showed the confirmation which gave him the detail he was not happy with this as i proved him wrong i did get my room not an upgrade and which I paid for 3 nights £550-00 i think for the room i had it was over priced.
the hotel was clean and the bar dark that i couldnt read the cocktail menu,
the Ice bar which we got discount for due to uus being guests in the hotel was brilliant it was fun,
checkout was easy and hassle free
this hotel is good except for my checkin just 1 person on a power trip i think??/

“Stylish Hotel in a good location”

Nordic Sea Hotel

30 Jun 2008

I stayed here with my 3 friends over the weekend 27-29th June. We stayed friday and left sunday night. The hotel has a cool fish tank in the middle and has the ICE BAR located inside and ou get a discount if you stay at the hotel. It is next to the Arlanda Express but we didn't use it, because it cost 220 SEK [aprox £20-22] and so a cab for 4 was cheaper at 350 SEK [pre book on the net - its cheaper] which is about £35. The actual room is small but we wanted the cheaper room the express room and im never bothered by the sze of hotel rooms. It had EVERTHING you could need. it was clean and had a hardryer etc etc. Staff werevery friendly and helpful with our hundreds of questions and we couldn't have had a better stay. We are very thankful to all at the Nordic Sea Hotel for a wonderful weekend.

We visited the Nordic Sea over a year ago and I am just now getting around to reviewing. Hotel has a nice lobby, nice rooms, and is very clean. The service at the front desk was better than expected. The location was nice- very close to the metro and was not overly crowed as some of the other hotels, etc. Overall I would definitely stay there again.

“Acceptable”

Nordic Sea Hotel

5 Apr 2008

Stayed here for 3 nights in March 2008.

As mentioned by others, location is right when you get off the terminal of the airport express train. It is very convenient, especially if you are catching an early morning flight out.

I had a room located on the top floor and it was okay - nothing to rave about. The furniture is typical Scandinavian, but getting a bit dated. The rooms and hallways are designed like a ship and just like a ship - not too spacious.

The service is good - I couldn't complain. The front desk and wait staff are friendly and helpful.

The buffet breakfast is not something to write home about. Quite ordinary - and given the number of rooms in the hotel, can get busy sometimes.

They provide access to the fitness centre located at their sister hotel, Nordic Light, right across the street.

Overall, for the amount paid, I would say it is was just okay.

“Sometimes a room is better without a window”

Nordic Sea Hotel

I stayed at the Nordic Sea Hotel last July, and I booked one of the single occupancy Express rooms that don't have a window. I'm a very light-sensitive sleeper; I wake up when the sun rises, and sunrise at that time of year was around 3:40am. So a windowless room was the key to a good night's sleep.

The complimentary breakfast was great, and included lots of cereal options and bacon and eggs. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have any smoked salmon, though.

I would gladly stay at the Nordic Sea Hotel again.

Dear Eric,

Thank you for your positive feedback. I am thrilled to hear that you liked our Express rooms. What you describe is exactly why we have those room types, dark and silent yet fully equipped as you would expect from a “standard” room for a lower than standard price.

I look forward to welcoming you back to Nordic Sea Hotel in the near future.

Best regards
