I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during the peak summer season. The hotel is in a fantastic location. It is in a quiet street just off the main shopping area of Stockholm. The rooms were clean and comfortable with antique style furnishings. There was a nice window seat overlooking the fountain. The breakfast buffet was average. The hotel was full and the staff had trouble clearing the tables quickly. The table were dirty and it was more like eating in a foodcourt. Staff were apologetic for this. The hotel was great value for money for accomodation in this location.

This is the definition of a businees hotel. Clean, effective, great location, nice conference facilities and deadboring ... but free wifi uhhmmm. Take it if you are not staying for long or not are in a romantic mood.

The Scandic is in a great location with Central Train Station about 6 blocks away. There are lots of stores and restaurants within a block We requested an upgrade in advance but the hotel was unable to accomodate us. The front desk people were helpful with advice, directions etc. However, there were always long lines as there is no concierge or designated reception people- so the 2 people working the front desk do it all. Breakfast was great and I would recommend staying here due to the location.

I stayed at the Sergel Plaza for 6 nights in July, 2007. It was my first time staying at the hotel. I had a single room on the fifth floor which cost 600.00 SEK per night. Overall I was pleased with my choice. My room was very small but it was comfortable and extremely clean. The city view from my room was nice and the location of the hotel in the centre of Stockholm was its best feature. The morning breakfast was of high quality and was a great bonus. The staff was helpful and friendly. I love Stockholm but it is a very expensive city. As such, I consider my stay at the Sergel Plaza to be extremely good value and would stay here once again.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in late June. Because we were part of a tour group I have no idea what the price was for the room but I gather that $200 USD might be appropriate.
The location was outstanding! It's less than a 10 minute walk to old town which has a wide variety of restaurants for night time dining. We walked over to Tivoli and the Vasa museum on a bright sunny day (30 minutes) and took a ferry back to old town.
The word on the breakfast buffet (which was very good) is to eat prior to 9:00. We had room 450 which looked out on an inner courtyard. The room was small but functional (two rwins) and there was plenty of hot water and decent bathroom accomodations.
