I stayed here for 4 nights on business in April and very much enjoyed it. So much so I would stay here for a weekend break next time I get the chance to visit Stockholm [ worth doing as its a great city ]

If you are like me and stay in the usual business type hotels but want to try something different then consider this hotel. Different however does not mean poor service but I thought it was a stylish hotel and very friendly staff . Don't expect huge rooms though but I was Ok with mine and it would have been fine for two people for a weekend break/short stay

There is a gym in the basement ; free Internet ;and tea/coffee in the lobby too

Whilst its true its not in the absolute centre its a reasonable walk from the harbour and there is a underground station nearby. The central taxi office is next door too . I also felt that I was staying in a slightly more residential area than perhaps most business/city centre hotels which I also liked. There are a couple of good coffee bars next door -try the Espresso House

One tip - which is strange when you consider its next door to the taxi office- is to definitely have a hard copy of the hotel address for the cab drivers as most of them had never heard of the hotel.

So all told I really enjoyed it and recommend it

A very nice little hotel with modern rooms. Fabulous lobby with kind staff. The location is not at the main street, 10-15 min walk to Sergels torg.

We stayed at Hellsten hotel on Jan 12th - 15h and had a brilliant time.
We had booked the Rex hotel ( same owner) but we've got a free upgrade to hotel hellsten at the same price ( 2380 sek for 3 nights, just 86 euros/night).

Room was exceptionally clean with very modern decor , with flat screen TVs and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. It was a little bit small but very functional.
Bathroom was small too but with all comfort.
Breakfast was a buffet affair with numerous types of muesli, all you can make waffles, cold cooked typical swdish food like meatballs, herrings and sausages, eggs, bread,fresh fruit, orange juices etc.
hotel lobby has beautifully designed modern interior, with free internet access and there was a bar very nicely decorated.

It is centrally located,with short walk ( about 10-15 minutes)from the centre of town and the underground station is near the hotel.
Very impressed and highly recommended

Nice small hotel. Centrally located on quiet street. If staying there during the summer ask for one of the rooms with balcony (no extra charge). All rooms have one or more pieces of furniture the owner of the hotel has collected during his travels around the world.

The same owner has another hotel right across the street (Rex Hotel) which is slightly cheaper (the rooms are however smaller).
