I wanted to try the new hotel in town but unfortunately, I don't think that I will be back.

It's really a pity because they have obviously spent a lot of money on fancy designer furniture but it sort of doesn't work. It's hard to explain but there's absolutely no feeling or attention to detail. It is sort of cold and impersonal. I even got one of their socalled suites but I really felt like in my dentist's waiting room while I was there.

The staff are okay but rather average run of the mill and so is the restaurants. Especially the Akvavit was a let-down. I have been to the New York equivalent and they have absolutely nothing in common. Where the NYC place is fine and unique dining, this place is rather indifferent dining. Don't know how they have been able to use the same name but I seriously doubt that the same people are involved in the two restaurants.

Clarion Sign is a newly opened hotel next to the Central Station in Stockholm. An impressive building, easy accessible. But the area is still a construction site; I guess this will become a much more pleasant area when the buildings are finished.

Front desk staff gave us a warm welcome and check-in was efficient. We got a spacious superior twin-room facing the square in front of the hotel, but be aware that many of the rooms face the back yard. Nicely decorated room with design-furniture in light colours. The hotel has design as a theme.

The bathroom was large and well-equipped, but the door-solution was a little bit odd. It was a door made of frosted glass, in addition there was a window in the bathroom facing the bedroom. As I was sharing the room with a colleague, I felt this didn’t give us the privacy we could have wanted!

Breakfast buffet had a good selection, emphasizing organic products. But, very busy on a Sunday morning and run-out of many things.

Chose this hotel as it was 150yrds from the Arlanda Express Cental Station and the office, and what a good choice.

The hotel had been open for two weeks when I visited so there were a few teething troubles still, such as lights in the restuarant that kept switching on/off, but this was hardly an issue.

Had a 7th floor room. The rooms continue in the same style as other Clarion hotels in Stockholm. Plenty of space in the Moderate double room, a flat screen TV mounted on the wall opposite the bed, nice and soft bed and pillows, great service from the front desk and generally nothing to complain about.

Not sure about previous reports where they had no bathroom door - definately had one in my room.

Finally, I tried the hotel restaurant (Aquavit Grill and Raw Bar) and chose the Pork Mixed Grill. The food was a high quality, served quickly and the staff were very pleasant. A really nice place to eat, and not that expensive either considering its a hotel restaurant.

Will definately continue to use this new hotel.

We have just returned from three days at the new Clarion Hotel Sign.

First impression is of a very modern ,slightly cold looking entrance.

How wrong we were.The Hotel staff are friendly,professional and very efficient.

The bedroom we had was clean,minimalist and fabulous duvet and crisp linen.

We were in a room that HAD a bathroom door (see previous review)

Breakfast is superb,tried to book dinner but the restaurant is so popular it was fully booked.

Location is perfect for Train station and bus station (airport buses)

We loved Stockholm and can recommend This new Clarion Sign Hotel.

Intend going back in May and we will stay longer.
