There is no hotel parking !!! Parking places on the street outside the hotel are TOLL from 9 A.M. to 7 P.M. !!! It is difficult to reach the hotel by car. Rooms are very small, but with refrigerator and kitchen corner. TV channels are available only in Finish. There is no international channels like BBC World, CNN, CNBC or SKY News !!! Breakfast is the same every day (my stay lasted 5 days) and not impressive. The cafeteria in the hotel is small, so it is very crowded in the morning. Some of the guests have to wait (standing with trays in hands) until a table is free. You have to get use to dogs’ barking in the hotel. You can reach city centre by walking from the hotel. It takes about 1 hour of a quite nice walk. There is a grocer’s shop around the corner.

I stayed one night in a single room at the Hotel Fenno when I was in Helsinki on business. It's nicely located (not far from the bus and train stations), public transportation is very convenient and it's easy to find. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, the room was small but perfectly clean. There was a shower and a kitchenette in the room.
The breakfast was OK (though I didn't like the coffee, mostly 'cos it was cold).

I wouldn't mind staying at the hotel again and I could recommend it for people who are loooking for inexpensive accomodation for a short term and who are not going to spend much time in their room.

I stayed the cheapest room in this hotel in June.Hotel itself was far from luxious,but clean,with helpful and clever staff(reception staff were like good concierge,really really helpful),security and breakfast was okay,internet(2euros per 30min)in the lobby,good and quiet location,they have Shard sauna(ofcourse men and women are sepalated in the upper floor).
Some rooms have their own showerroom and toilet,single economy rooms(cheapest)were not but shared showerrooms were sized for 1person(women and men were separated,with key-rock).They changed towels everyday,shared kitchen with dished etc was nice.I could borrow iron and hair drier at the front desk.
Breakfast was simple but not bad.
Location was good,next to the tram stop,7-8min walk from subway station(2stops from central),of course I could walk to the central when I had time and the weather was fine.Supermarkets and bars were nearby,there was a vending machine for soft drinks and snack in the lobby.I could walk to the Orimpic Stadiam in the norther area of the city,too.
I recommend people think both price and quality,except honeymooners who wish to have sweet place.
