We visit Turku often and previously we have stayed at Omenahotelli (rooms cost 55 euros, no breakfast). But last couple of times we have stayed in Scandic Julia since we found out that sometimes they offer great discounts. First time our room (for two) cost only 49 euros - including nice breakfast buffet! And the second time Scandic Julia cost about 64 euros, so we thought that the breakfast was worth the extra 9 euros.
Scandic Julia has excellent location (about 300 meters from the Market Square) and they have Parking Carage in the same building, so you can take an elevator straight from Parking Level to the hotel. That's very handy during the winter time! If I remember correctly the parking fee for our 20 hour visit was about 13 euros.
Rooms were nice, clean and average size. Last time we had a room that was in the 6th floor and was facing the river and observatorium. View was excellent! (Except for the parking carage´s roof few floors down). Scandic Julia doesn't have anything extra in the rooms. No irons, microwaves etc., but the beds were comfy and tv worked. Unlike our bathroom lock.
We will stay there again, but I keep on checking for those discounts. Something like 65 euros is a nice price for this hotel, but 100 euros is too much.
