Stayed in the hotel as first stop of a 4 week tour. Got a Friday and Saturday night for about 420euros on the hotel website as part of the welcome offer including breakfast both mornings, dinner on one night, fruit in the room and a glass of champagne each in the bar. Free parking was also included in the secure underground car park.

The hotel does not look great from the outside, as it has a rather dated look, and this could also be said of some of the inside public spaces too, but more than makes up for the aesthetics in other areas.

The classic room was not huge, but more than adequate with a view over a park at the rear of the hotel. There was a decent bathroom with shower over the bath, and the bedroom has a really comfortable bed, AC and flat screen TV.

All the staff were exceptionally freindly and helpful, and we flet we were getting the service one would expect in a 5 star establishment.

Breakfast on both mornings was great, with a help yourself buffet with plenty of choice. We ate dinner (included in our package) on the Friday night, and while there is a more limited choice for the set menu, the food was excellent, although the restaurant lacked a little atmosphere, as there were only 4 or 5 tables occupied and the nearest one to us has 4 VERY drunk American chaps on, who were a little loud, but generally well behaved.

We only choose to stay in Luxembourg as it was generally about halfway between home and Switzerland, and didnt expect too much from the city, but we had an excellent time, and being just a 5 minute level walk to the 2 main squares of the city was just great. Plenty of bars and restaurants in this area, and there was also a festival on the weekend we were in town, with music and dancing in the street.

All in all 10/10 for the hotel and for Luxembourg.

Excellent hotel. Modern, well located, extra clean with first class amenities. It deserves all the 5 stars it's got.
Bathroom is all in Carrara marble, with good strong shower.
Polite and knoledgeable concierge.
We will surely recommend this place!!!

Great Business Hotel in the Heart of Luxembourg

Best location for conducting business and staying in the midst of things.
Half your clients will come and see you, as you are so centrally located.

Right in the heart of the city, with great rooms, great breakfast, and lounge/cafe/bar to conduct business meetings, and the service is great!
All the cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and attractions are within easy walking distance.

This was our favorite European hotel!! To begin with, Luxembourg is a most charming city! We arrived on the train from Belgium and easily took a city bus to the hotel. The staff at the visitor center were very helpful and friendly.

We arrived and quickly checked in. Our room was a standard twin, but beautifully appointed with a view of the park. The room was well equipped with all bath amenities, robes and slippers! The reception staff even tried to help us make an overseas call using our phone card, but we all were unsuccessful for some reason?

The hotel is located about 2 blocks off the main square of Luxembourg City, a delightful area with restaruants, shops and museums. We ate dinner at a casual Mexican food restaruant called Chi Chi's. (Living in the southwest, we were craving chips and salsa) The room rate was about 180 euros. We booked on the hotel's website directly. The rate included breakfast in the morning that was fabulous-eggs, breads, french toast, omelets to order, fruits and drinks. Service was flawless!

We can't say enough about the staff at this hotel. They know what customer service really means. From the breakfast staff to the concierge to the reception staff...everything was just right!!

We would return without hesitation to the Le Royal Luxembourg!! It's not surprising that it's a "Leading Hotel of the World, " well deserved!

“Very friendly, close to perfection”

We had a royal experience in this hotel. Had a perfect deal trough amex included an upgrade to the royal club wing rooms.
Everybody very friendly from bellboy to cleaning staff and everybody else, really pleasure just to be in this friendly atmosphere.
Also to recommend : the pomme cannelle restaurant !
Breakfast buffet : excellent !
Rooms : excellent !
The only disappointment to me was the outside view of the hotel. I expected with a name like 'le royal' something that looks a bit royal, but in fact the royal is only for the threatment you get once inside.
All in all a lovely experience !
