Rooms in hotel main building excellent - clean, spacious and good facilities.
Pool, grass area and beach - very good, kept clean and best in the area.
Restaurant - food mediocre at best, unidentified food in the evening with no labels and can be a bit of a bun fight - not a relaxing experience. Waiters do not serve you they only clear away - sometimes a bit too enthusiastically.Although not applicable to us it could be a problem for somebody with walking difficulties as much of the site is either up a hill or steps which is not mentioned in the brochure.
Weekends can be very busy and packed as non residents are allowed to visit the beach etc. for a small charge payable at the gate.
The cost of soft drinks was another source of complaints - £2.50- £3.00 for a can and they inspect your mini-bar each day and if they find drinks in there that do not belong they confiscate them!
There is a casino on site and this operates 24 hours a day for those who want it but it means that people are arriving and leaving it 24 hours a day.
Parking facilities (if you hire a car) can be limited (cars parked on pavements and the likes) especially at the weekend.
Room allocation on arrival a bit hit and miss - many people put in "wrong" rooms for a day or so until theirs were ready especially the bungalows.
We were at the Acapulco from 11 to 25-08-2005

The Best Hotel of North Cyprus.
You can enjoy all day long in pool and beach.
The pool restaurant has very delicious buffalo wings and dining in main restaurant is perfect. The position of restaurant is perfect too.You eat your meal with a perfect view through sea.

We visited the Tukish Bath & Massage at the Accapulco Hotel whilst on holiday in Kyrenia, North Cyprus, this came recommended and did not disappoint. Maria welcomes you and explanes the treatments and Massage available then Orcan totally relaxes and revitalises you with the Turkish Bath and Massage, of which there are a range to suit needs and budget. The whole experience was teriffic and not to be missed, get booked in!!

The "Dining Room" was some distance from the main Hotel. By the time you got there, helped yourself from the buffet, found a table etc, the food was cold and congealed. At night a miners lamp would have been handy to identify some articles of food ie the brussel sprout covered in mayonnaise and mascarading as an "egg mayonnaise". The service, staff etc were very good and the cleanliness of the hotel itself could not be faulted. It is some distance from Kyrenia town itself and involves a taxi ride there and back if you haven't rushed to catch the curtsey bus or the times of this bus don't suit. It is very warm - hot in fact - but the air conditioning in the hotel was very good. The Green Island Rep - was excellent and helped all holdiay makers including those from other companies who had mislaid their own reps.
