We've stayed in several north Cyprus hotels in 2007, while looking for our perfect villa. We had been into the Dome for drinks before, and decided that next visit (in October 2007) we would stay there instead. I was very brave (for me) and booked it online at www.dome-cyprus.com, and we had a lovely relaxing stay.

The refurbishments are gradually upgrading the Dome's faded grandeur, and we love it for the friendly atmosphere and nice staff. Room was clean, bathroom fine but in need of new taps. My husband and I enjoyed several evenings 'in', with dinner at the restaurant and a nightcap in the bar, which were very relaxing after long days of villa-hunting. We also enjoyed strolling around Kyrenia harbour and shopping in the back streets. (Well, I did, hubby preferred a seat and an Efes beer!)

The Dome is ideal for those who want to stay in the heart of Kyrenia and appreciate that a good hotel need not be a new hotel.

Me and my husband stayed at the dome last year in October and it was very enjoyable especially that time of the year, as in the past we have visited the island in August and it was unbearable due tot he heat.

We booked our holiday with Direct Traveller 2nd year running and their service was 10 out of 10 again. The hotel is very friendly especially the manager Hasan, who was very helpful to me and my husband.

We would recommend the hotel to those who wish to be in centre location, which was perfect for me and my husband as we didn’t have a lot of walking to do in order to get to our favourite restaurant.

Stayed for a week with my daughter, Hotel must have been magnificent in its day but is quite shoddy now, did see some work going on though so perhaps its long needed makeover is finally being done. Loved the pool though and the massages were unbelievable! Casino was a bit daunting, full of older men!
OverallI would return to the Dome, loved the nearness of the harbour and attractions and loved the fact Northern Cyprus is mostly unspoilt, NO MACDONALDS to be seen!!!!!

We have just returned from a stay at the Dome and although the Hotel is a little tired we could not fault it. I advise anyone to pay the supplement for a seaview as the rooms on that side tend to be quieter.
We only had B&B but we found the food very good-pancakes excellent and all the staff were friendly and helpful.
We had to be in reception for 3am for our flight back home and the security man even made us a cup of tea-that makes up for any rusty taps. The location cannot be beaten.
