“An unpleasant experience”

Jasmine Court Hotel

Having arrived in the dark we immediately realised our room was not the suite with sea view booked. Asked to be moved and we were told they could not do anything. We insisted and we were eventually moved to another room which was a suite but obviously not the one we had booked. However in the morning we were shocked at how dirty the room was, especially the carpet. We requested that the room was cleaned again which it was eventually but very poorly. We spent the whole of the next day battling with the rudest most unfriendly reception staff we have ever come across constantly being given times when a new room would be ready for viewing. We were eventually shown to another room which smelt of cigarette smoke and had burns on the carpet. In the end we had to stay in the dirty suite but, in addition, this was over the eating area and there was noise right through the night and early morning. We were absolutely exhausted with very little sleep. We agree with the other comments about the Hotel only being interested in gamblers and we believe our original room was occupied by such a person. We only had one glass and despite asking several times for a second it never arrived. On several occasions we had to ask for towels and once we were told there wasn't any as there had been a big demand for towels. Not exactly a 5* response. The terrace for breakfast wasn't open the first week we were there and the breakfast room was grotty. On several occasions the key to the room did not work and plates of food were left in the corridor all day. All in all an unpleasant experience. It defintely did not live up to the brochure description. Reception service never improved whatever was asked of them. By the way the grounds were quite nice.

We are a young couple from Australia aged between 25-30 and a have a 2 year old daughter. We had made a booking to stay 21 nights at the Jasmine,
We ended up reading the reviews and were so shocked to read what some people had to say about the place!
Worried about the whole stay, we arrived at the jasmine and found the place to be beautiful!
Staff were friendly, rooms were cleaned everyday, fresh towles daily, close to everything, abit expensive to buy drinks at bar, and items from shop, but luckely there was a supermarket only just 2 minutes by foot nearby!
The actual rooms were big! Our daughter could run around and play without a problem! we will stay again for sure!
worth every bit of money spent!

My wife and I stayed at the Jasmin court in Sept/October this year, great pity that the hotel is in decline, the room was the biggest we have ever had in over thirty years of travelling, spoilt by multiple stains on the carpet and chairs along with cigarette burns in the carpet, no self respecting manager would let rooms like this out to guests. the breakfast bar was a complete and utter disaster with very little choice apart from take it or leave it. I think it should be pointed out that the hotel has a rule that no drink or food can be brought into the hotel, you have to by their water at a ver inflated price, four times the supermarket price, if caught you are marched to reception like criminals and the good are confiscated, this rule is not in holiday brochurs, or receptionor in the lift or prominent in yoyr room but hidden at the back of the writing compendium, so beware. the area around the pool is good just needs some TLC and a manager who is not hell bent on upsetting his customers

After reading some of the reviews I was worried about going to the jasmine court hotel. (as were several of the other guests I spoke to during my stay there!)
The negative could not have been more untrue, the hotel grounds, pool area, in fact all public areas are spotless, the rooms are huge with modern fixtures and fittings, fresh smelling and cleaned every day. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Prices are what you would expect to find in any 5 star hotel (with 5 star service to match) obviously bars and restaurants outside the hotel were cheaper!!
I am glad I did not change my booking based on the negative comments, my husband and myself had a great holiday and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

“Don't Miss Out On A Good Holiday”

Jasmine Court Hotel

6 Jul 2006
9/11 found this review helpful

If you read other (negative) reports about this Hotel and take them to heart then you stand a good chance of missing out on a fantastic holiday. After we booked we read some of those reviews and it made us quite apprehensive, we read of Rude Staff, Dirty Uncleaned Rooms and High Prices - NONE OF WHICH WE FOUND.

We are fortunate enough to travel quite widely including some of the best hotels in Dubai and North America and found that the Jasmine Court, although possibly not an international 5* it was certainly 5* for the area.

The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily, the pool was large and there were ample sunbeds and clean towels for the guests to use. The restaurants served good food (the breakfast buffet was exceptional) and offered good value for money. The bars, especially the pool bar were priced ok, an Ice Cold pint of Lager was 7YTL (approx £2.30 - That's cheaper than my local in England) and childrens drinks were only £1.00 - £1.80.

To sum up we had a fantastic holiday at this Hotel and would recommend it to others!
