On arrival at the Jasmine after an awful flight with rude stewards the Jasmine ordered us complimentary room service.
Our Junior suite was immaculate and large and with a bathroom you could have a party in!
However, this hotel is definitely not a 5* more a very good 3*.
We found the restaurant staff very friendly and accommodating but the reception staff rather aloof with poor English.
The pool area was very pleasant with free towels but the California snack bar attached was expensive.
The food in the main restaurant was very good but we got rather fed up of being constantly watched by the (lovely) waiters and as soon as we had put our cutlery down our plates were whisked away!
The Jasmine has a medical centre and when I suspected my son had an ear infection, I visited the on duty male nurse and after examing my sons ears he thought that yes indeed there was an infection and arranged for a taxi to take us to the nearest clinic. The Jasmine taxi driver was brilliant! He took us both to the clinic, came in and explained to the receptionist and waited while we saw the doctor. My son had quite a bad ear infection and the doctor was very thorough and prescribed medication. The taxi driver then took us to the pharmacy and returned us safely back to the Jasmine and all for the fare of £4!!
All in all the Jasmine has some excellent points and bad points. The hotel has in my opinion very little atmosphere as most of the guests tend to go elsewhere in the evening due to the over inflated prices of drinks.
The casino is very popular especially with Turkish guests, who arrive at the weekends and tend to take over the hotel, much to the detriment of the British guests. We were there for 2 weekends and breathed a huge sigh of relief once Monday morning arrived!
The Jasmine is a nice hotel but please ignore the 5* rating as this really is not true.
