We've just returned from the Onar holiday Village hotel just on the outskirts of Kyrenia. It was very good. An excellent location overlooking Kyrenia, the Onar was a top choice. It was very peaceful, with a great pool, good food, and reasonable prices (for a hotel - £1.80 for a large bottle of Turkish Lager ). Prices in Kyrenia were obviously cheaper and reachable by a £3 taxi ride. We stayed half board and had a choice of 2 starters, 2 main courses and sweets. The hotel restaurant was quiet (so was Northern Cyprus generally?), however, locals and B+B guests came into dine selecting from a larger menu. The food was local and very tasty, although we did have basically the same vegetable selection nightly. Towels and sheets were changed on a daily basis and pool side towels were also available on request. The staff were first rate and very friendly - all in all, an a great holiday in a great hotel.
