My wife and I stayed here for a week and arrived late at night so we weren't sure what it was like till the next day. We did ask for a different room straight away as the balcony overlooked the car park, this was done immediately and were given one overlooking the pool. Our room was a reasonable size and clean (no fleas here) and the beds were "ok" the air con was effecient and needed to be as daytime outside was around 40c and nights 30c, this made the walk into Kyrenia in the evening a shirt wringing affair and even the restaurants at the harbour had electric fans on outside! a taxi is the obvious answer even for such a short journey, we did use our hire car once.
The pool area is attractive although the bananas and other plants were so overgrown people had to duck to walk to their apartments. The barman/ porter/ helper, Mehmet(?) was very friendly and helpful and genuinely liked to chat.
the breakfast choice was a bit limited but the bread dried fruit and melon suited us. Meals in Kyrenia were hit and miss and after just coming from Olu Deniz in Turkey where we had bad food experiences we were wary about the food. On the whole we found both Turkey and N Cyprus expensive with cans of orange /fresh orange £2 and meals on a par with UK . Half of the guests were Turkish or English Cypriots, the Turks and Cypriots we found to be polite, quiet and friendly. We enjoyed our stay here but would probably try somewhere else if we go again.
