Before I left for my holiday I read reviews on this site and was a little anxious about what I had booked - I didn't need to be!
This hotel is ideally located on a main road in Pafos opposite the Tombs of The Kings (a very popular tourist site). It is on the main bus route into the centre and down to the harbour and is well within walking distance of the main bar street (20/25 mins tops, 10 Euros in a taxi)
As soon as you walk into the hotel you are met with a lovely lobby/bar area and staff are more than gracious.
I went with my partner and we were both more than impressed with the room. We had asked for an inland view as it was cheaper but we had a lovely view of the pool area and could see the sea from our balcony. The room was really comfortable and we had no problems with any of the decor or air con or anything from previous reviews. There was a satellite TV with BBC Prime and News channels as well as other greek and german stations (one showed english films with greek subtitles - ideal for a night in if you've had too much sun!)
We kept our air con on all the time by taking the fob from our key and leaving it in the slot in the room - recommended.
As for the pool, I thought it was lovely. Yes, there are a LOT of cats in Cyprus but no one was bothered by any around the pool and I for one could not smell urine from them. The staff organise pool polo for the guests and play a variety of music throughout the day (Boney M can get a little repetitive though!haha)
Overall I had a fantastic time in Cyprus and would REALLY recommend it and a stay in this hotel.
I would strongly recommend hiring a car (there are hire companies in abundance!) an get out to visit ayia napa and other towns in Southern Cyrpus. We hired a convertible and driving back as the sun set with the roof down was very romantic. Having the roof down in the day is not such a good idea as you will get burnt!
