“I Won't be Back!!”

We have just returned from a week at the Kissos Hotel. What can I say, 3-star and I got more than I payed for.

On arrival we were assigned to a room where the toliet had not been cleaned. After removing the evidence from the loo of the previous occupants (no maids around so had to clean it myself). We complained to the reception where we were told to wait until 7.30pm till the manager had seen it. After 2 further complaints about the toilet facilities we were moved to another room (next door) where normal service was resumed.

Must say that this was my first time in Cyprus and this first impression has lasted. Hence I will not be back!!

Booked into a room with partial sea view (this is a joke, as you have to hang out of the balcony and twist your body to the left to see anything of the sea). Can I suggest that you pay the 4 euro upgrade for a Pool view as at least you will have something to look at!

Main pool was clean, but freezing! (what else can you expect for March I suppose).

Hotel well situated for "Fat Mamas", food to die for!! and "Tramps" (local pub, which is one of the cheapest in Pathos, they also do good pub grub). When visiting Tramps, make sure you speak to Patricia, as her knowledge of the Scots dialect leaves you speachless. If you want some nice Cypriot food head for "Rigga's" they had the best Steffado on the island and the Keftedes were not bad either.

“Superior 3 Star Hotel”

Kissos Hotel

On arrival at the Kissos at around midnight I was greeted by a rather unfriendly night porter, however my experience picked up 100% once I headed towards the lift for my room, the public areas of the hotel were well decorated and very clean, the lift was a little worn out but worked, on reaching my floor I found the hotel corridors had soft floor coverings to keep noise down, my room was rather good for a 3 star hotel roomy and nicely decorated with a little balcony that looked out over the pool and sea beyond, only down side being a very brown bathroom with slightly worn fittings, however very clean.

Food base on my breakfast experience was not wonderful but eatable, good local food is just minuets away on the Kings Road, outside the hotel, personally I am fussy about my food so you may well find the food excellent.

The hotel is near to the Tomb of Kings, worth a visit, the old port area is a fair walk from the hotel, but local buses run to a from the area for those that do not want the 30 min walk to the port area,

Generally I found the hotel staff to be wonderful with the exception on this one night porter, the hotel has plenty of things to keep you busy, pools and outdoor activities.

I would go back to this hotel again without hesitation, while its not in the resorts heart, its fairly easy to get around and see the sites from its location.

booked 1 week in october (school holidays) for me and hubby and son (aged 12). We were one of the youngest there! Room was small but clean we had no complaints about room except you were charged for safe and for fridge when they are advertised as free. We went half board but the food was quite boring. Breakfast was good though so i would consider B&B better. Food outside was cheap and with plenty of choices. Pool was good and cleaned every morning. Not many sunbeds so i imagine it might get busy in summer. Overall we loved cyprus. we have been before and would certainly go back. we hired a car for the week and travelled to different beaches. No entertainment in the evening at the hotel or during the day, this didnot bother us as we went out every night but it would have been nice for my son to do something in the evening.
Stay away from Adonis Waterfalls, complete waste of money looks lovely in the photos but is small and water is freezing!!!
Would stay at this hotel again but I would moan about safe and fridge.

“Brilliant Value And Location”

Kissos Hotel

Having been to Paphos before, we were really wary of this hotel as it was really cheap booking direct. It was lovely. Really clean, nice pool area, breakfast really nice, english breakfast included, maid service every day, good location.
It was maybe 15 mins walk from the harbour and the main "bar street" but there is plenty pubs and restaurants near the hotel which are fairly lively. We were there for a wedding at the Elysium and the hotel is ideally located as it was directly opposite this hotel. Would definatley go back.
