“Really pleased”

Pandream Hotel Apartments

We went to Cypurs for a wedding which was being held at one of the 5 stars and we couldn't justify the prices they charged so opted for a smaller, cheaper one for our 4 day stay. We were really please with the Pandream. Room 313 was fab. Everything you need and great views. I booked the hotel directly and got a great rate includign breakfast at the Opus (next door which was great) and air con which is normally 5CYP per day.

We were closer to the harbour etc than the bigger hotels at the other end but were far enough away to have a really quiet stay.

5 mins from door are restaurants and bars etc, to get a full meal, or a pina colada. No hassle from owners which you get a bit of when down at the harbour end.

Together with the fab weather, some lovely little hidden corners on beaches (if you seek them out) and really lovely staff, it exceeded our expectations.

After reading the reviews I was a bit concerned that the place would not be as good as I was expecting....IT WAS FAR BETTER THAN I EXPECTED, and can only think some of the other reviewers were on drugs.

Arrived in the middle of he afternoon and were shown to a spacious double bedded apartment with bath/shower and living room and kitchen along with 2 balconies.

We took the aircon option and at a mere £5CYP per day it was well worth it. Room had a TV, but who watches TV on holiday, when you can walk to any number of relaxing bars in under 10 minutes. (You can stroll fro half an hour to the harbour and the infamous Bar Street (aptly named it was), so you can have quiet or busy whatever you choose.

The apartments were attached to the Opus restaurant, we had a light lunch there once, we had breakfast there once and we also had an evening meal of a Meze, which was fantastic.

The staff were excellent, the rooms were well kept and cleaned almost daily. The pool area was spacious, and there were never more than about 10 people in/around the pool, even though there were more than enough sunbeds and umbrellas (which were free), none of this reserving a bed with your towel.

To start with, the pool bar was not really open but when it did it serverd nice lunches and bar drinks. I would suggest that if you are going to eat a 3 course lunch you only have a sandwich.

I went to Cyprus as my sister was getting married at another hotel, the Amathus Beach Hotel- a much more superior hotel and to be honest, our small cheap apartment was far far better for the needs we wanted.

Absolutly fantastic time so much so that we are going back in feb & august apartment clean & roomy. You can have them cleaned every day if you wanted. All members of staff were pleasant & help full.No wild life in the rooms. Resturant very good, service very good very resonable. Our party of 6 were eating for about 65-85 cy pounds including drinks. It's not to far from other resturants & bar's, no need to hire a car as the local transport was cheap & taxis. Beaches were a bit rocky but a 30min bus ride a you were at coral bay which is all sand.Other things close by were mini golf,go karts & the water park these are all about 15 mins walk.if you are thinking of going to pan dream then i suggest you book direct you will save your-self a packet. The managers/owners have the time of day to stop and talk to you which you don't get in a hotel. Also book any excertion your selves don't go throw any reps as they charge double. HAVE A GREAT TIME LIKE WE DID p.s. great pool.

overall the apts were pretty clean, had a few problems with cockroaches but were given spray to combat this
air -con expensive £6cyp per day but cant do without it
we went 1/2 board but were not happy with the set menu, only choice of 2 meals every day-none of the expensive meals that were on outside menu though
one person on the bar along with a computer till meant that waiting to get served took all night
dont get engrossed watching sky sports youll be dissapointed when they turn the tele over for one of their own
paphos is beautiful and would recommend it to anyone, but for what we paid we wouldnt go back to pandream

i stayed at the pandream apartments in june 2006 with my friend and 5 year old daughter.
we had a night flight over there so when we finally go there it was 2:30am the staff at this time seemed moody and didnt run through things with us at this time, they did the next morning when we asked how things worked and how we got the service we needed.

we were given a low floor room (we asked for a top floor) the balcony lead on to a field that wasnt a nice view at all, and people passing could see in, we asked to be moved to a higher floor and were moved within 10 minutes into a nicer room with a large balcony and a great view of the pool, we were very happy with this.

i found the staff very helpful and friendly. there were 3 english staff at this apartment which is very helpful when trying to ask for directions or some kind of service.

there is also a supermarket thats in use, this is open to everyone. i did find this shop very expensive and if you shop around you will find bargins else were.

the pools were cold but once you were in them they seemed ok, the smaller pool mis a lot warmer then the larger one. the floors are also slippy by the pool sides. the floors leading to the rooms and the down stairs showers, and games room is very slippy, there are signs all around telling you this.
i did have a problem with ants when i was sunbathing by the pool, they have a ant problem here!! i didnt complain as i thought i had done enough of that in my 2 weeks there.

i did find this apartment nice and relaxing, i would stay there again if i ever re-visited paphos, which i dont think i will. its a nice place but very quiet and being only 22 it was to quiet for me, i recomend this for older people who are there to relax in the sun, which was great i can not fault the weather that we had while we were there, i wish i could of brought it home in my suitcase.
