Let me start off by saying that i am the worlds best moaner when it comes to arriving at a hotel and not getting what it said on the brochure.I am also very switched on,and am an expert at working out the best value for money scenarios.Thats my history lol,now let me tell about this hotel. The staff and mangement are curtious, polite, and very helpful, totally switched on for the guests. The studio apartments are spacious, clean, and reasonably looked after. There was a small ant problem, but that was soon sorted by the extremely helpful chambermaid, who couldnt speak any english but still understood my problem and swiftly dealt with it,That brings me on to the air con(free by the way),ours unfortunately blew a main fuse and couldnt be fixed on the spot,i was promised a maitenance man at 8 in the morning.Bang on 8 he was there smiling to sort said problem, spot on.The apartments are a couple of minutes walk from the main hotel so if you want peaceful nights and quiet days on your little patio, you get a great big silence, lovely. The main part now, food is reasonable for the money, and i cant understand people who expect the earth for what they pay when its cheap. The food is fresh, plentiful, and differs every evening, but the breakfast is always the same,no problem though because there is a great choice that gets constantly topped up with freshly cooked,if your not over critical then you will enjoy the food, and put on some weight ,its lovely.Saje and his staff run a busy restaurant with ease, and dirty crockery disappears quickly, and the are very helpful to anything thats required. The pool is clean and well laid out,so you may dine outside looking out to sea,but you will have to put up with our feathered friends looking for titbits.A five minute walk away is a small local bar ran by a chap called Michael, and i can honestly say he was in my top five of the nicest bar owners i have every encountered, and i can only assure you that i have met many. This man will not close till you are done, then he will escort you to the door, shake your hand and thank you for your custom, anyones local in the uk do that? I doubt it.A taxi into paphos from hotel is ten euros, and make sure you get a price ,the taxi drivers can well rip you off if you let them.If you dont mind walking over a little piece of wasteground then bus travel is the way.Plentiful, clean, air conditioned, and 1 euro to anywhere along the route,(coral bay to paphos harbour),or 3 euro day ticket unlimited.I started off withese busses ,they run to midnight so you can travel cheaply. If you hire a car then make sure you are covered for everything on the insurance, and i mean everything from chipped windscreens to punctures, they will sting you hard if not covered.Well thats my lot,so let me finish by saying ive had a excellent value for money holiday in a hotel that does what it says on the tin.John Scutt Portsmouth June 2012,
