We have just come back from the Athena Royal having been here four times now and will book again for next year. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this hotel to couples who want a quiet relaxing holiday.

As previously, we found staff and management to be extremely helpful and particular thanks go to Nicoletta who cannot do enough for you. We booked a full sea view room and got what we requested. We have never not had a room that wasnt requested and have always had a sea view room.

Although the Hotel was full, this was not a problem, the hotel is large enough to cope and on many occasions I was swimming in the pool on my own. Loads of sun beds at all times of the day. We noticed they did bring in more sun beds and parasols but they are well spread out and even with the more beds there was lots of room.

The hotel food is excellent. We stayed Bed & Breakfast but ate in the Al a Carte three times and went to the Flambe night twice. The wine, food etc. is no more expensive than the restaurants outside the hotel, if anything I would say it was cheaper. You cannot get a view of the sea any better than at this hotel which looks directly on to the sea from the restaurants both at breakfast and evening meal.

The only thing we found not to be quite as good was one member of staff (Ronnie) who, on previous occasions, was very chatty and helpful, but we found him to be a bit off at times.

All in all, we had the most wonderful 2 weeks and I can't wait to return next year. Wish I could go back now!!!!!

We have stayed here on several occasions. First class hotel excellent food and staff. We are getting Married there next year at the Hotel and will be letting their staff make all the arrangements.

We have just returned from a two week stay at the Athena Royal Beach Hotel, please beware this Hotel is becoming very popular and they are overbooking!!!
We had paid for a seaview room for 14 nights, but when we arrived the Manager told us he did not have a seaview room available until the following evening so we had to have a mountain view room for one night and he gave us a frre meal as compensation - while we were at the Hotel at least 8 Couples had the same experience.
We had booked our holiday 1 year in advance but the Manager said it made no difference when you book if the rooms have gone they can do nothing.
I think this is a very bad practice.
As for the Hotel it is very relaxing and the food is suberb all the staff are very helpful and the pool area is perfect.
We will return to this Hotel but we will call the manager before we arrive to check our booking is OK.

Stayed at the Athena Royal for the past 3 years and each time has been excellent. Well worth it's 4 stars!

I was very surprised at a previous review, and can only assume they didn't stay at this Hotel. We stayed on a Bed and Breakfast basis but did stay in for a couple of evenings eg: Cyprus and Gala Nights and found them good value and lovely food as well.

I especially liked the Happy Hour with lovely views over the Pool and Sea whist having your Sundowner!

All in all a very relaxing Holiday, If it's peace and quiet you want, then this Hotel is for you.
