We recently returned from a week's holiday in Cyprus, Paphos. We stayed at the Aquarmare Beach and Spa Hotel.
I can not recommend this hotel enough.

We took a cab from the airport to the hotel (make sure to set the price before sitting in the cab) and we agreed 30euros.
The hotel is no more than 15/20 mins journey so we were at the hotel before you knew it.
When we arrived, the reception/ lobby was over crowded as their was a wedding reception taking place but the staff immediatly apologised and allocated us our room and told us the necessary information we needed.

Our room was modern and clean. The bathroom again also very clean.
The room came equipped with a digital locking safe, hair dryer and the usual complimentary shampoo/conditioner and showergel.
There is lots of storage space. The TV was digital so you can get UK channels such as BBC 1 & 3, ITV and some others.

The resturants in the hotel were really nice and the food that they served was simply delicious!
We were staying on half board basis, however we ended up eating lunch at the hotel too as the food was lovely and the pricing of it was a lot more cheaper than the restuarants outside on the main road.

The hotel pool was great, and the children's splash pool was also really nice. The decor of the hotel is lovely its got its own design to it which is appealing to all, its simple yet elegant. The location is great. A short journey from the airport and about at 30min walk from the habour which is just straight down the road from the hotel - no turns no nothing - a straight walk. There is a bus stop 5 mins down the road which takes you to the habour as 30min walk in the heat - can be a bit much for some and the buses run every10/15 mins.

The Spa and Gym was really good too. The gym was very modern - not too big and not too small either and was equiped with new machines.

We had a lovely time in cyprus, the weather, food and hotel - all were brilliant and would recommend a trip to Cyprus to all and a stay at this hotel is a must whether you are going as a couple, a group or as a family as they cater for all.

All the staff there were helpful and kind.

I know I will most definately want to return to Cyprus and would stay again at the Aquamare.
This hotel only opened about 2 years ago and whilst we were there its clearly very popular as there were often private external bookings for parties of all types and weddings too.

I look forward to returning to this hotel in a year or two's time.

We have just returned from a week staying at Aquamare Hotel at Paphos. We had a fabulous time there. The hotel was very clean and friendly. Do not worry about any noise from the planes you hardly notice them in fact the sound of the sea was louder!
The staff were all friendly and always willing to help. The hotel is located close to bars, restaurants, shops and not far from the harbour. We walked it in 20 mins - and no were not in our twenties. The hotel has a fantastic gym with lots of modern equipment (and its free for residents) there is also a beauty salon that provides many different beauty treatments. The pool and grassed sunbathing area is very nice and there are always sunbeds available . The kiddies pool is really nice if you have small children as there is a pirate ship and lots of water features and slides for them to enjoy. The food is very good and the restaurant has a nice ambiance as it is not too big like some hotels where you feel you are in a works canteen. We recommend the local water park which we visited it was only a 10 min walk from the hotel and lots of different slides for all ages. I would definately recommend this hotel and hope to return next year.

“Comfortable modern hotel”

Aquamare Hotel and Spa

We've recently returned from an enjoyable 10 night stay at the Aquamare, courtesy of Lastminute.com. The hotel is medium sized and modern. The rooms are nicely appointed, though not particularly large. The hotel is quiet and relaxing.

Breakfast is served in the downstairs restaurant, which also serves lunches, and most of the seating is outside. Dinner is taken in the main restaurant, and is a buffet with soup, a wide choice of salads, main meals and some delicious desserts. Most nights have a theme. We didn't eat there on 'Fish Night' as my wife doesn't eat fish, though they did offer to cook an alternative. Dinner starts at 7:30 and the dress code was reasonably well observed.

There is a small, and cool, indoor pool and a good sized outdoor pool, with a jacuzzi (not heated). There's a decent kiddie's pool, with a pirate ship and water features.

The most pleasant place to sunbathe was on the lawned areas. The sunbeds weren't particularly comfortable, but there were plenty of them.

The guests were mainly English and German, with some Poles and French. There was a mixture of ages, with more children over the half-term holiday, as expected. The mainly East European staff speak English and look after you well, though they can be a bit keen to clear plates away at mealtimes, and once resetting the table while a couple were off getting more desserts.

The hotel is over 2 kilometres from the town centre, a reasonably pleasant walk. There was musician in the restaurant one evening, and folk dancing on another, otherwise you had to make your own entertainment.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it highly to anyone wanting a friendly and quiet hotel that serves good food.

We stayed at the Aquamare hotel in May. We went out to check the area before we get married there next year. We stayed at the Aquamare upon recommendation from a friend and we weren't disappointed in the slightest. We loved it so much that we are hoping to take all our wedding guests back there nex year. The hotel is exactly as it is in the photos. I am not sure why there are some bad reviews as the hotel does exactly as it says on the tin. it's lovely and relaxing. biggest bonus is it hasn't been picked up by british holiday companies yet so it's not full of people on "package holiday's".

The bar staff at night were brilliant, if you were good to them, they were good to you.

Breakfasts were lovely, plenty of choice for everyone, lunch time food was good, the salads were so fresh. we are very particular about food and yes for us at night the food wasn't brilliant but it wasn't at all bad, either plenty of choice and you can't knock them for effort, they really do try and cater for everyone. we will probably only go b&b next year but this isn't a bad reflection on the hotel.

there is a big piece of land to the side of the hotel, but we asked reception staff about plans to build and they said there weren't any.
the hotel is a lovely 1.5mile walk from the harbour but there are plenty of places to stop along the way. if you want to explore the place there is a bus stop 100yds from the hotel and for 1 euro 35 cents you can go pretty much anywhere.

Paphos is a big place and i definitely think we were staying in the nicest part, not too over developed but not too under either. Do not be put off by the bad reports of the hotel being in the flight path, there were plenty of planes flying over but they werent noisy. it makes me wonder what some people expect from a holiday, but this is a very reasonably priced hotel, if you want waiter and butler service then go to the Almyra or the anassis or elysium and pay for it.
thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely go again.

Lots of different nationalities staying there, all friendly. can't recommend it highly enough

Visited the Aquamare in May for two weeks following an earlier visit last December.Accommodation and food still very good as was the service however there were a few concernes.
#There was a large English wedding party staying for most of our visit with the ceremony etc at the Hotel. This is a relatively small Hotel and you could not really "get away"from the wedding party or the celebrations.#Evening dress code of no shorts or T shirts in the evening was ignored by the Hotel Management and Staff.#The A La Carte Restaurant has closed, only the buffet remains allbeit a very good buffet #The main Restaurant was closed one evening for a "local function" and we were relocated to the breakfast restaurant.
Our first impression was of a "superior four star with Spa".Our latest visit felt more like a good but run of the mill four star.If the Aquamare lets its standards slip it will not distinguish itself from a dozen other good four star hotels in Paphos.
