“Great Value and Service!”

Monte Carlo Beach Hotel

My wife and I are living in the UK for work and decided to take a trip to Monaco. It was a wise choice. Monaco is not exactly the hub of social excitement, but there was enough to do during the day to keep us busy and not so much as to make one feel overwhelmed. The best part of the trip was the hotel. The Monte Carlo Beach Hotel came highly recommended by Trip Advisor Readers and after staying there, we can see why.

The good- The hotel staff was attentive and courteous. The accommodation was beautiful and the location was perfect.

The bad- although tasty, the hotel restaurant was expensive and limited in choice. There are no real vegetarian options anywhere in Monaco, but especially at the hotel. Also, the concierge staff was limited by both language skills and options. Best bet is to pre-plan your own day trips.

Hotel staff- The staff seemed to be the only people in Monaco to have a good working knowledge of English. Most other Monaco residents either did not know or refused to speak English. The staff was courteous and generally helpful.

The accommodation- The accommodation was a great choice and well worth the money. The rooms are small and minimally decorated, but the view alone was worth the price. We highly recommend the “exclusive sea view” rooms. They are worth the money! Another interesting note, this was the cleanest hotel we ever stayed at. It actually smelled good- so good in fact, that we were wishing our own home smelled that nice (like fresh cut spring flowers). The verandas have flower boxes on them.

The location- we recommend this hotel mostly for its location. It is at the far east end of Monaco, close enough to town to see and do, but far enough away to escape the noise of the city. The hotel had a free shuttle that took us back and forth to the center of Monaco.

All in all, a great value and pleasant stay! Highly recommended.

“Disappointed with hotel”

Monte Carlo Beach Hotel

As was advised, we joined the Le Club of Monaco
on the assumption that one would be upgraded
upon arrival to the participating hotel.
Well, that is not the case. I was told that there
were no Jr. suites available. However, my agent
had booked me into a suite, I produced my copy
of the receipt. Where upon suddenly there were
suites, they showed me 3 rooms that looked
into the pool that were so poor that I declined
them, then they offered us the big suite two-
story that had a nice view, but is so sparsely
decorated it is barron..
The hotel is too far from the main attractions
and restaurants. The shuttle stops running
to the hotel at 7 p.m. So you are faced with
15 dollar cab rides.
It offers little in the way of food, etc...
The hotel staff were nice...access to the beach
club is nice, however, not so nice when they
decide to throw a big party outside and the
music blasts until way hours..
All in all Monaco is a very safe place to visit...
No matter when you decide to go, be prepared
to know it will be jammed with tourists. In the
summer it is families, after school starts it is
the thousands of European tourists arriving
on Buses.....
Monaco is more suited for a day visit of 2 to 4
hours, it is a haven for the wealthiest of
people worldwide....

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in June 2006 and absolutely loved it. In our opinion, the location is perfect. It's a beautiful 20 minute walk to the casino, all along the water. The hotel beach is THE beach in Monaco. We only got to spend one day at the beach and that wasn't enough. Our room wasn't over the top beautiful, but it was clean and had charm. All the rooms have seaview balconies. We had dinner on our balcony one night. We went to the Sea Lounge one night and really enjoyed the cool atmosphere. We would have liked to have time to go twice. The only negative was we wished there was a bit more variety to the buffet breakfast. We ended up taking the shuttle in to the Fairmont one morning and feasting on their buffet breakfast which had more selection and was a bit cheaper. Another night we went to Zebra Square for dinner which is a very hip restaurant and then we went to dance at Jimmy'z which is just a 5 minute was from the hotel. Jimmy'z is very expensive. All drinks are 29 Euors each. But it was fun to watch the scene. If we went back, we'd definitely stay at the hotel again.

What a fantastic find! The Monte Carlo Beach Hotel has a quiet European charm that is a world away from the super glam mega resorts. With only 44 room (and all with a spectacular view) you cannot miss. There is Free access to the computer in the lobby and room service served on the balcony is a trat not to be missed. The hotel shuttle can take you the short distance (about a 10 minute walk) to the Monte Carlo Bay resort where the public transit system stop is right across the street. (Get the day pass for unlimited riding for 3.60 Euros). The pool is outstanding and service as charming as the hotel itself. The rooms have tiled floor, an impressive walk in closet and wonderful soaking tub in the bathroom (it is tiled floor to ceiling with a glazed rustic finish that is even more beautiful with its imperfections.) There are a number of dining options and a small refridgerator in the room to stash baked good and wine finds from the bakeries and open market. Monaco is magical, just don't think that the small size is managable in foot. Get the hang of your chosen form of transport fast and save your feet and frustration. If you are looking for a quiet escape to come home to after a day and night on the town, this is it!

“Lovely Hotel, Lovely People”

Monte Carlo Beach Hotel

This is a wonderful hotel with a beautiful view across the sea and Monaco.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated very well.

All the staff are excellent, friendly and always there to help in anyway.

My wife and I purchased the Le Club Diamant Rouge Classic membership ($110) prior to arriving in Monaco. This gave us a complimentary helicopter ride straight from Nice airport to Monaco, The SBM Gold Card membership on arrival at the hotel ( which enabled us free entry to all casinos and numerous other torist attractions ) and a free room upgrade. They gave us a lovely Junior Suite.

Only one of the nights has to be booked at (standard) rack rate and the others can be at the special rate in order to purchase the Classic membership via the visitmonaco website.

The hotel's pool is great and the free
shuttle to travel to the other hotels they own and the centre is brilliant.

Great trip and will definetly go back!
