We stayed in this hotel for a Saturday night in a Deluxe Harbour View Room.
The hotel is quite new and the common areas and rooms are of a high standard - clean and comfortable. The location is convenient, with a nice view of the harbour and the dazzling array of yachts.
However, the service at this hotel was lacking. This is the first hotel I've ever stayed at that was unable to run a breakfast buffet. They appeared to have run out of food an hour before breakfast finished and upon arriving just ignored us (perhaps they hoped we would go away?). Other guests were walking out and their complaints met by shrugs from the staff. We were astonished that we couldn't actually get any breakfast and had to leave the hotel in search of food.
The receptionist apologised and said many guests had complained, but no offer of recompense was made.
I assume this hotel doesn't do this too often or surely their business would dry up? ...or starve to death
I certainly won't be staying there again and would think twice before staying in any other properties in this chain (Stein hotels).
