Off the plane, onto the No.2 bus and there you are - easy. Wonderful helpful staff and nice clean room and amenities. Excellent Italian restaurant next door (with an inter-connecting door through to the hotel).
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Get a Saltburg Pass from reception. Great value.

I liked the hotel quite much. I spent two nights in the hotel in a non-smoker triple room. It was very comfortable. We had a double bed in a bigger room. There was a TV, a wardrobe (with mirror), table, chair and bedside tables. We also had a very small kitchen but it was a surprise for me. There was another small room with one bed, table chair and bedside table. The bathroom looks very modern, so do the other furnitures.

Our friends had a non-smoker double bed. They had a smaller living room, so we could join them there in the evening. Otherwise their room was almost like ours.

The lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful, so were other staff at breakfast. They give you buffet breakfast, so you can choose among different kind of bread, jams, salamis, cheese etc. You can drink coffee, tee...

The only... hmmm... so called "bad thing" was the shake sometimes (I guess a bigger vehicle went on the road) and the sound that came from the sink. But take it easy, you're on holiday. It's a great hotel and smile at these stange sound. :) Enjoy yourself and feel free to ask the lady at the reception if you have any question.

The hotel is at the foot of Kapuzinersberg. It's rock wall is a superb but also shocking view. I liked it!

The Hotel Drei Kreuz was one of the many reasons we loved Salzburg.
The staff was super-friendly; the place is family owned and you can tell they want to make it the best hotel possible. All spoke good English, were extremely helpful in giving us tips on how to get places, where to eat, etc.
The room was very clean and looked like it had been recently renovated--the floors were nice and new and the furniture was very smart-looking. Out of the five hotels we stayed at on our trip to Austria and Italy, this hotel had the most comfortable beds and pillows. The bathroom was clean and new.
The Hotel Drei Kreuz also had the best breakfast of the five hotels.
There are hotels closer to Salzburg's Altstadt (old town), but the bus stop is about a block away and takes about 10 minutes to get into town, so it was no hassle at all. Salzburg has a great bus system and you can pick up a map with all the bus routes, so it's easy to get around.
We would definitely stay at the Hotel Drei Kreuz again! Just be sure to get there before 9 PM, when the lobby closes.

This hotel was very clean and a nice 10 min walk to the river. The staff was very helpful and spoke English. Our room slept four and was very spacious. The double bed was an actual double bed as opposed to two singles put together. The other two singles were in a separate room. The toilet was separate from the tub, shower and sink. The room had a desk and plenty of space for all your things. The large windows were nice, but there was a good bit of traffic noise with them open at night. The breakfast was the normal German breakfast -- meats, cheese and breads for the most part. Limited veggie and fruit options.
