This hotel is about a 20minute bus ride out of town. It has lovely views of snow covered mountains. Our family of 5 adults stayed in a double and triple room for 2 nights. The rooms were very well appointed. The Bloberger Hof is a family run hotel. The hospitality and service was excellent. The buffet breakfast was great as were the meals served at the restaurant during the evening.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Bloberger hof in July of 2004 and again in August 2007. This guest house is a true find. We were so enamored with out first visit, we won't consider staying anywhere else when we visit Salzburg. We travel to Europe every year for over a month and we wish we would have found this gem sooner. The guest house is run efficiently by the Family Keuschnigg. Sylvia and her Mother vigilantly maintain the large guest house and surrounding property. The house is situated on a quite road, just a brief walk from the main road. It is a family run guest house with all
the attention to detail you would expect from a hotel. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. We enjoy the honeymoon suite, which boasts a canopy bed, a large seating area and a walk in closet that I would kill for living in a New York City apartment. There is also the amazing view of the majestic mountain from your balcony. The guest house is immaculate and affordable; a rare combination in Salzburg. This guest house is a home away from home.

All the family speaks English and are very helpful. Sylvia will pick you up from the station, if you are without a car. You can have your laundry done for a fee and the included breakfast is a wonderful assortment of treats to get you through a busy day of sightseeing.  We highly recommend the restaurant for dinner. Sylvia's husband Robert
is the Chef and his superb culinary skills can rival many New York City restaurants. The delicious food can't be beat. The restaurant is not only frequented by hotel guests, many people from the surrounding area visit the establishment too.

Living in NYC, my husband and I enjoy the serene location of the Bloberger hof. It is a 15 minute bus ride outside the city center. 
You can buy a daily or weekly pass from Tobacco shops in the city center, or just buy your ticket on the bus. The bus stop is located on the corner of the hotel on Moosstrasse. Bus #21 comes frequently and runs until midnight. It is a scenic ride through suburban Salzburg. Also don't miss a trip to the Augustinian Brewery which you will pass on the ride into the city center. You really don't need the headache of a car in Salzburg. Parking in the city is impossible and why bother when you have a direct bus route on your hotel corner.

You are treated like family by Sylvia, her Mom and Robert when you stay here. We highly recommend staying at the Bloberger hof on your next visit to Salzburg.

Wonderful stay four of us in a family group we were looked after from the moment we stepped over the threshold to the moment we left.cheap bus fare into city 1.4 euros and every 20 mins too.
great breakfast, warm cosy large rooms spotlessly clean with good views. Would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to anyone.

We stayed at The Bloberger Hof 24th - 26th Nov 2007 for 2 nights, we booked directly and paid around £60 per room per night, I think there is a cheaper room category though.

The Bloberger is a lovely guest house, we had one of the junior suite rooms which was lovely and very big, laid out on 2 floors.
The whole Guest House was immaculate, clean and very well maintained. The staff were friendly, welcoming and spoke excellent english but also encouraged my attempts at German too!

I cannot believe people have given the Bloberger Hof bad reviews, I can only assume they were comparing it with larger hotels rather than guest houses and therefore had unrealistic expectations! I would heartily recommend the Bloberger Hof to anyone looking to stay in the Salzburg area.

It is situated a 15 minute bus ride from the Centre of the Old town and costs just 1.80 euro I think with busses running every 20-30 minutes even on a Sunday till 11pm. And they were on time every time!
We got a taxi from outside the airport arrivals which cost 13 euros to the Bloberger, not bad at all.

We did not eat in the restaurant except for breakfast which was lovely, continental style and all fresh. There is no bar but you can get a drink in the restaurant and the room minibar prices are really cheap and reasonable compared to a hotel.

To sum up I would say the Bloberger is friendly, Cosy, quaint and good value.

Salzburg tip- dont buy your Mozart choccies in the town centre or at the airport! There is a supermarket on the bus route into town where they are around 2 euros a bag, at the airport and in gift shops they were about 8 euros for the same thing!
Also there is very little in departures at Salzburg after security and nowhere to get a meal or food other than crisps!
