I spent one night in this hotel as I had an appointment in Vienna the next morning.
I had thought of staying closer to the river but the general assembly of a large international association spoiled my plans as all hotels in that area were full.
This turned to be a very welcome event as I had the opportunity to discover this small hotel in a very convenient location. It is true, it's away from the historical centre if you want to walk, but it's only a few stops away by metro. The metro station is only a few steps away from the hotel door, maybe 4 minutes walking. The metro is very efficient and reaches most locations in Vienna.
The hotel staff is very friendly and generous with explanations and assistance to guests on how to move around town and what's the best public transportation to use.
The check-in/entrance is small but clean and seems new or renovated, like all the rest of the hotel.
There is no restaurant and breakfast is served at the first floor in a dedicated hall, with a lot of space for everyone. Staff is kind and efficient, with bread, jam, one orange, coffee/tea/milk, cakes, breadspreads included. Other breakfast items and from the menu.
My room was on the first floor, facing the back of the hotel. I entered the room at around 1730 and was welcome by a fantastic light from the setting sun. The room was large, with a king size bed, a couch that can be turned into a bed, LCD TV, toilet, bathroom, a couple of chairs, and a small wardrobe and little more. The furniture is new, the carpet seems in good state and the bathroom is also new.
It is fairly basic but in a very decent way, pleasant and welcoming. Internet is free via wi-fi.
I think the rooms in the back of the hotel are to be preferred to those in the front, which face the road. The back room face a garden and tress so it is more pleasant to be in the room.
A couple of dinner places around but I tjhink it's better to venture further to enjoy a more traditional meal, however it depends on the individual tastes.
I do reccomend this place for those who don't mind to take the metro for moving and enjoy a simple and warm environment.
