I've been here in mid December, in a Club Room, and i'de like the Hotel, teh staff and the ameneties provieded to the guests of the Club.

Great value for the services in Vienna. The lovely canapés and hot small hot food at the end of the day was a pleasure after a walking day in Vienna.

I have stayed 5 times at this hotel with various room experiences. The normal rooms are rather small and although tastefully decorated perhaps clastrophobic for some. Twice I've been upgraded and previously got a corner suite, this time a 2 room suite (living room and bedroom). When this happens (and if booking well enough in advance the price can be reasonable) you have a classical luxurious room.
One thing that is always consistent in this hotel is the service. It's not the memorized, robotic service we know from so many chain hotels. Here you can tell that Customer Service is tradition.
Would I stay here again - ABSOLUTELY!

This hotel is a little further out than some but it is right opposite a fabulous park which you can wander through to catch the inner circle tram. Just two minutes walk .
Upgrade to club if you can afford it , as the extra service is second to none.

Pool, spa and beauty treatments are excellent and the staff throughout the hotel are extremely helpfull and courtious.

Ther is an outside ice rink right next door which gives a loveley view if on that side of the hotel or obviously the park at the front.

Vienna with it's xmas markets is a brilliant winter break and the intercontinental look after you when you get back exhausted after all that sight seeing !

It's a good choice and excellent value in comparison to the other big names.

We stayed at a Superior Room on the 8th floor with nice views towards the Stadtpark. Room was well equipped with classic furniture, but bathroom lacked some maintainance (painting peeling off the ceiling) as did the wallpaper in the hallways. Air condition did not manage to cope with the surprisingly low outside temperatures, but the hotel's technicians delivered an electrical heater in no time. Housekeeping was flawless, especially the evening turndown service (no request needed). Breakfast buffet and service staff were great, Café Vienna staff on the other hand were not very well organized. They overlooked (ignored?) us until we moved to a table within their direct reach. Cake and strudel were great, though. Location is very convenient right across a subway station.
