My sister and I went to stay at the Alstadt hotel. We usually stay in big luxury hotels but I decided not to this time. We absolutely loved the hotel. The service was superb - they even got us both toothbrushes and toothpaste, car to and from the airport and arranged a fantastic package of entertainments. The restuarant meal that was included in this package was terrific. We were expecting some kind of touristy place but got a really glamorous nearby restaurant. The room was lovely and just right, breakfast fantastic and relaxed, lovely sitting area, complementary tea and cakes lovely and staff lovely. The only shock was that the entrance after the street into the block looked foreboding (it also has private apartments in the building) but once you got into the hotel everything was lovely. For a reasonably priced hotel in Vienna this was fabulous. Thank you to the Alstadt.

Loved the hotel. We were upgraded to luxury suites even though we had only booked standard rooms. Big bathrooms and beautiful chandaliers in the rooms. Breakfast was terrific with a vast spread of food that was included in the price. Close to public transport. Desk staff were extremely nice and helpful and went out of their way to please us. Would definitely recommend to anyone!!!

This is a very nice, affordable accommodation. The staff was wonderful - friendly, prompt, and professional. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was fantastic! A great way to start the day. Overall, I would return again.

The Altstadt truly lives up to its billing as "Your personal residence in Vienna". My family and I have spent two weeks there and could not have been happier. The hotel and staff exudes a feeling of warmth and graciousness. Our tastes run to the elegant small hotels in Europe, such as the Pavillion de la Reine in Paris, The Goring in London and Hotel Juanna in Juan les Pins. The Atlstadt is in very good company, indeed.
