Stayed in this hotel in February for a weekend and found it to be a real gem!
The exterior and lobby do not really give a good indication to how lovely the rooms are in this hotel, the outside looks a bit dated and the lobby is quite officious however the room we had was really spacious, was quiet, even though it over looked the main road and the breakfast was a continental buffet, which was good.
It may benefit from a bar, but saying that, drinks could be purchased from the front desk for consumption in your room.
Would certainly recommend and stay there again, real value for money.

Really cheap compared with other hotels in Vienna. I was lucky to have a balcony facing the inner courtyard and away from the main road. Very clean. Staff very polite and helpful - their English is far better than my German! Bathroom in the standard room was small so if you are on the large side, you may struggle past the washbasin to get to the toilet. Also you do get the occasional smell of smoking which is more noticeable now the UK has a smoking ban! Very convenient location. An elevator opposite the hotel takes you directly to Nestroyplatz metro station platform, which is on the U-Bahn line 1 - one stop to Schwedenplatz where you can catch trams, two stops to Stephansplatz for the cathedral and three stops to Karlsplatz for the museums. Praterstern S-Bahn also close by if you want to go further afield - think you can catch the slow train to the airport though I decided to get the CAT from Landstrasse which is only one stop on U-Bahn line 1 and one stop on line 3 - ok if you are travelling light but all stations have elevators. You can also walk into the Innerstadt very easily and safely. However, the roads are quite dimly lit in the evenings, especially near the Danube canal.

We stayed at the Hotel Capri, August 2007. We had a great stay.
This hotel first of all is far from the Main Train station so we did take a taxi. But between the three of us it was not to much..
The customer Service at the front desk was great. They were helpful with maps and directions and recommended to us things to do.
The room was just fine. It was nice and clean and larger than the usual European hotel.
The location of the hotel was fine, it was quiet and just across the bridge to all the main shopping and nightlife.
I definitly recommend this hotel is had a great price, and a great location.

I stayed at the Hotel Capris for 6 nights in April 2007. This place is just a really great deal. My room was large and clean and the bathroom was spotless. A good and varied breakfast every morning was included in the price. The Capri hotel is very close to a subway stop and it only takes two stops to get to Stephansdom, pretty much the "center" of Vienna. The subway is very easy to figure out and travel by. One of the best features of the hotel though is the people who work there. They helped me so much when I needed to make travel arrangements, even calling train stations/airlines for me. They just were very friendly and helpful. The hotel also has an internet computer in the lobby that is open 24 hours and is very inexpensive to use. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!!!
