Good functional hotel - a few stops on the tube from the centre from Vienna, but only a short distance from the tube station. The hotel was clean and modern. The bed was huge and very comfortable.
However, the hotel wasnt in the nicest areas.... so we probably wouldnt go back.

We absolutely loved this hotel. This is a Marriott Hotel, it is well laid out, there is a small but nice hotel bar near the lobby area, it is open until 12 midnight. The buffett breakfast is good and is from 0630 - 1030hrs. The rooms are very spacious and unlike most european hotels have a fridge and Tea & Coffee facilities. The hotel is located very near to the Schonbrun palace, and this is definately worth a visit. It is a few mins walk from the metro/subway and is approx 6 stops to the centre of the city. There is not much around the hotel in the line of cafe/bars/restaurants, this is probably the only downside. The staff are friendly and helpful, unlike most Austrians. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This place is a nice building, rooms a nice size for Europe, BUT.... Lets talk about skid marks in the toilet, and hairs in the bed.. Ok so stuff happens.. right???!?! BUT THEN.. when i was heading out to see the city, closed the door to the room, but it would not lock.. the latch did not line up to the door frame, this had to be this way for years.. Room 516... I went to the front desk, I told them about the problem.. I got the deer in the headlight look. Then a manager looking person was called out, she told me, "This can not be " I made her follow me to the room, and with out a key card I pushed the door open. Once again deer in headlight.. Had no clue as to what to do.. I said how about a new room.. I was moved down one level to the same room layout. (Would an upgrade kill them?) ALSO still no one apologized for this. Moved into my new room. Guess what more hairs in the bed. The next day we asked if we could have a late check out. As an Elite Member with Marriott if they got the space it is a perk. I asked if a late check out was available, I was told yes.. Then I was told that would be 50 EURO.. I was only paying 80 EURO a night.!?!?!? All of this.. no apology and then I had to store my bags as my flight was at night. Bad bad service. I called Marriott Customer Care, to report this.. After 3 days I got an email from the GM of the Courtyard, admitting to the problems. Better then nothing I guess... Never will stay in this place again.. and the location is not in the city center at all, it is around a U-Bahn (Subway)... You get what you pay for..

Our family of 4 stayed here for a few nights during a New Year's Eve trip to Vienna last year. I wasn't sure if I wanted to stay in the middle of the New Year's Eve madness so I came across this hotel (away from the city center) and decided to try it. Everything worked great because 1) the hotel is actually VERY VERY close to a few attractions we wanted to see (Schoenbrunn Palace, Zoo, Marionette theater) and 2) it's really close to a METRO stop for rides into Vienna. Our room was clean, quiet, comfy and spacious. No complaints. If you need to be in the middle of Vienna, pick another hotel but this one worked for us. It was also one of the few hotels that can I found could accomodate 4 in one room/suite around Vienna.
