Walked in here on business trip.

Really disappointed, did not sleep well and left unrested.

Bad things:
Took very long time to check in and check out. Staff did not seem to bother.
Strange intermittent buzzing sounds came from the bathroom/room throughout the night, leaving me never to go down to deep sleep..
Bathrooms at floor level not cleaned in the morning.

Good things:
View of Oslo from hotel room.

Would not recommend to others.

I've been in a few Radisson's over the years and this one began to feeel no different. Only a few things were "spoilers". Not bad, mind you, but a few things that made it less than wonderful.

First off, the good things:

1. An excellent 21st floor bar for appetizers or drinks with a great view of Oslo! The service was fantastic and our business meeting went well.

2. Great meeting rooms. Held a workshop here as I had done many years ago and the AV folks were great. The conference management is highly competent and friendly.

Now, the not so good things:

1. I was given a complimentary "upgrade" to a business class room in which:

1a. You could see the chicken wire and the upper ceiling insulation following through the visible pipes.

1b. Strange intermittent buzzing sounds came from the bathroom throughout the evening.

1c. The desk chair collapsed. Now, I'm a big guy; but, this thing fell apart into perfect pieces (nothing broke) ready to be put back together again (like a flat pack chair from IKEA).

As usual we did our research and this place came up with the best deal. For a large, international hotel, it did the job and the rooms were as you would expect.

Appreciated the door-to-door airport bus service and central location, which meant that we could pack everything that we wanted to do into the weekend.

My only quibble is that we faced a long queue for breakfast and the dining room was overrun, although the ball pool entertained my young nephew while we waited.

A good quality hotel, expensive but that's Oslo.

Rooms are nice, clean, modern, adequate. Amenities and "those little extras" you often get are quite limited compared to good luxury hotels elsewhere.

Breakfast restaurant very good but the only restaurant that's open in the evening has a limited menu (food is quite good but expensive) and feels like an afterthought tacked onto the lobby - very strange location, no atmosphere, people walking past in the lobby, view is out onto the concrete building opposite in the street, if you can see past the buses which are often parked outside. Not sure why they don't use the main breakfast restaurant which has a nice feel and atmosphere to it. Find somewhere to eat in town in the evening.

Why do you have to pay to use the internet terminals in the lobby when you are a guest?
