First off - DO NOT BE PUT OFF by the fact it's called the Rainbow Gyldenlove hotel. It's not one of 'those' hotels and there are no sachets of lube and condoms in your room!
It's actually a pretty classy affair for a mid-range hotel, the staff being quite friendly and the rooms a sterile and tame affair, clean and surprisingly spacy. There's not any noise at night, from outside or inside - as the rooms are well spaced out.
It is a fair walk from the city centre (20mins), but if you're neither hideously obese or a disabled, then you'll be fine.
Don't eat here - it's way too expensive, but then again so is most of Oslo.
In terms of, how many people can I get in this room? Put it this way...the reception is barely manned at night, and it's very impersonal. They have no idea who you are, or where you're staying so we got 4 into a double room easy and could have had more - there's that much room on the floor.
Overall - definitely reccomended for lads on football trips, as you can counter the cost by jamming everyone into a double room!
