Visiting Bergen and staying in the Bergen Guesthouse was one of the highlights of our journey through Scandinavia. We stayed in the small room, which was absolutely cozy. Matt, who with Andreas, runs the guesthouse, was super friendly and help us with all our questions. Staying in the Bergen Guesthouse reminded me of being at my family cottage in Muskoka, Ontario. In other words, I truly felt at home!
Even thought the small room doesn't have a private bathroom, this wasn't a problem and we didn't feel uncomfortable as we were only sharing with just another couple. There was also free coffee and tea; a small fridge and touristic brochures.
Location is excellent, very close to Bryggen, the UNESCO World Heritage Site and all the main attractions.
No doubt next time I visit Bergen, I will contact Matt and Andreas again!
