We took a Backroads trip through Norway (it was fabulous!!!), and our last stop was Bergen. Since we were flying out early the next morning we chose the Clarion because it was close to the airport -- right next door as a mater of fact. We got into Bergen late in the evening, and took a taxi to the hotel. After our Clarion experience in Oslo, we were not expecting much, but we were very pleasently supprised. The room was beautiful and comforable with a nice flat panel TV. The dining area was still open (it stays open until 11pm) and we were able to eat a late dinner that was delicious. The only caution is that the bathroom in our room, while very attractive, was made from frosted and clear glass. So if you have any privacy issues, you may want to ask about rooms with other bathroom options, if any exist.
