My partner and myself decided to get away for a few days over the half term week (as a teacher this was a welcome break)
We were recomended the Carmen by friends as they had just recently stayed there.
Trish and Steve, oh! and not forgetting Chloe their daughter, all made myself and Karen very welcome. we were greeted with a lovely pot of tea and a cake mmm! yummy, even though I am watching my figure (stop laughing Trish)
Our room was lovely and clean with all the niceties one would expect in a 5 star london Hotel let alone a Welsh guest house. The room was spacious and well equiped as mentioned. I have stayed in many places but one of the things I really appriciated was the great en-suite. You may say well most guest houses have en-suites and you are perfectly correct, but as a man with a "FULLER FIGURE" it was great to be able to be able to access the shower without being a contortonist.
The location of the accomodation was perfect for our needs, it enabled us to amble into the town (20 mins slow walk) ,30 seconds from front or the lazy option ,by bus (5 min) and the bus stopped very convieniently just outside the house.
Initialy parking was a worry of mine , seaside resort at half term ? but I need not have worried as there is ample on street parking on the quiet road.
I must not forget the lovely breakfast we had each morning served with a lovely smile by Trish or Chloe. I think Steve was rustling up the breakfasts and making sure we didnt go without toast and copious ammounts of tea and coffee.
What really impressed us after speaking to Trish and Steve was the fact that they were new to this game and had only recently taken over the buisness, Wow !! what will it be like when they have had chance to practice lol and have settled in ?
I salute you both !! Karen and myself will most certainly be booking again.
