This was my second visit to Boccaccio but the first time my friends had been and I must say I was a little disappointed. The staff are very friendly and attentive and there is a pleasant atmosphere. The menu is good but my seafood salad starter was massive and had an over-abundance of lemon which masked the flavour of everything on the plate which was a shame as there were lots of massive prawns and some lovely squid but I could taste nothing but lemon. I had a second starter of mussels and again, a massive portion but they were delicious. My husband had a steak, which was beautifully cooked but rather stringy - this was brought home and should be ok after some further treatment!!! The lamb was superb and cooked to perfection. I think that overall, the meal was enjoyed by everyone but we wouldn't rush back there.
