Parking is a problem sometimes because it's so popular and just off junction 39 of the M1 on the Denby Dale Road. Don't let this put you off.
There's a take out bit and a restaurant too. It's great to get your meal and eat it sat on the wall outside - this is the Yorkshire equivalent of the Japanese tea ceremony - until you've tried it you don't know what you are missing.
The restaurant is small but well kept. Staff are like your mum back home - very welcoming and friendly.
The food is brilliant. Fantastic chips, batter that melts in your mouth around the most delicious of fresh fish. Bread and butter and a good old fashioned pot of tea - heaven!
It's not quite as good the Mermaid Restaurant at Morley but it's about as close as you get - and it's a bit cheaper too. 5 stars.
Eat in - take out - eat on the wall! Fantastic quality and value either way.
