We stayed at the said Bed & Breakfast in Sept 06. We found the landlady very rude, especially to our children, very unfriendly & arrogant. As for the accomadation just not up to standard, scruffy and smelly.
The food we were informed by the waitress was brought at morrisons, and the starters she made herself as the restaurant was being run by a 60yr old single handed.
Really would not recommend.

I was looking to stay in Stamford when I drove past the Oak Inn which is in a small village called Easton on the Hill just south of Stamford. It looked like, to me as an Australian, just like what I thought a traditional English pub should look like, so I gave it a go. It was one of the best decisions of my trip. I stayed a Sunday night and was one of only two guests. The rooms were small but, as I have learned, the average size for an English hotel. It was quiet, secure and very clean. The best part though was the food. The owner apparently previously ran a number of restaurants and it showed.

Sunday night in the bar with the locals was good fun.

And it was great value.
