Something of a shortage of hotel rooms in Rotherham led me to book this. It was convenient for my meeting the next day, but I wouldn't stay here again. The only room available on the night was the 'romantic four poster' squeezed into a standard size room with a view out over a weed-strewn car park. Pluses: partially refurbished rooms (clean carpets, newish bathrooms), service (warm and friendly apart from the barman who tried to keep the change from my pint) Minuses: food (greasy and unappetising - the May 16 reviewer must have eaten somewhere else - cheap ingredients, badly cooked; even the chips were inedible) no non-smoking rooms left, wireless network unreliable. Not good value for money at £102 per night.
