I have stayed in many hotels over the years and this was by far the worse. I don't even know how they can call themselves a hotel. The service was disgraceful - although we had a confirmed booking, the staff there had no record of us. We had to wait an hour and a half before we were allowed in our room. The room was appalling - No double bed as we had booked, instead there was two single beds pushed together, which left a huge gap in the middle. The pillow cases and blankets were dirty and smelt so bed that I eneded up using my t-shirt as a pillow case. There was no ensuite as promised when I booked. Instead there was a dirty shower (with a bath mat that looked like it had never be cleaned)and sink in our room and a filthy toilet accross the hall. This toilet had no toilet paper and it contained a shower that looked like it had urine in it.
The smoke detector in our room had no batterey in it, the radiator was broken and the fan heater looked like it was going to blow up at at any second. The celiing was falling down and I was able to write my name in the dust on the cabinet. The corridor leading to the room was dark and dangerous as the lights didn't work. We were promised bed and breakfast, however I didn't dare take that up as I had seen a budgie in its cage sitting on one of the tables in the cafe the previous night and valued my health too much. We were rudely kicked out an hour early but to be honest we didn't care as the dirty and smelly room made me feel physically sick the whole time.
I have pictures and I shall be making an official complaint. We valued our safety to much to make a complaint at the actual hotel and thought it better to get evidence through pictures and do it the proper way.
I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy and advise everyone else to stay well clear of it.
