Stayed here for 2 nights towards the end of January 2008.

Hotel is clean if a little dated, but our room (12) was on the small side and a bit tired and worn, though had some nice sea views.

The hotel is around a 15 minute walk to the centre of town but is well placed for the local beach.

Staff are friendly and courteous and although we never got around to having dinner at the hotel, the breakfasts were nicely cooked if not particularly large.

All in all a good choice.

This is a real gem of a hotel. Superb Views Excellent food -Service put first in every respect. Good free parking -conveneient to the town and most importantly sensibly priced.

I have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel to any would be Sidmouth visitor

From the welcome sherry at the reception desk, to the check out I could not recommend this hotel more highly. It is a real gem.
I believe it was recently renovated. The public rooms and bedrooms are in excellent order.
Service in the restaurant was top class with a good choice on offer.
The location is but a five minute walk to the promenade.
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as one of the best I have stayed in.

This hotel is right by the sea with lovely views over the bay and the esplanade. Very clean, well managed, well maintained and stylish hotel. The room and bothroom were very clean with the only drawback being how hot it was! But this was managed by opening the windows and using the ceiling fan.
The evening menu looked very good but we chose to eat out. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.... cereal, yogurts, juice; continental breads; lots of fresh prepared fruits - my partner went back for two helpings; full english, smoked haddock with poached egg, kippers, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and much, much more. Cant wait to go back.
