I had the lovely situation of being able to stay at the Crown Spa Hotel as our office team had won a internal sales prize and so we got to go away for the Day to Scarborough and spend the night in the Crown Spa Hotel.
I didn't have time to utilise the Spa area, but certainly the massage and manicures etc looked extremely affordable and I would like to go back and try them in the future.
The bedroom was a little influenced by the 70s in terms of decor, but in my opinion this added to the charm as I don't know what I'd make of a modern chic hotel in Scarborough - you need a bit of the "days gone by" feel at a hotel to feel that you are truly in Scarborough. The bathroom was fab, massive shower head and waterfall type bath. The additional benefits were the cute Paddington Bear to hand outside your door if you don't want to be disturbed and free of charge breakfast in bed which was very tasty. Another lovely touch was that we arrived back from a night out to the curtains shut and mint chocolates on our pillow. Also you can get 24 hour room service sandwiches which I sampled and was impressed with!
In terms of location, it's a bit of a walk from the seafront and up and down a few steep slopes, but far enough away for lovely views of the sea and away from noisy nightlife.
We went in a group of 14 and were very well looked after, but I would love to go away for a more intimate break with my partner.
