have stayed at the st nicholas in scarborough for years but it was getting worse and worse. love scarborough so thought we'd have a change. looked at website and read reviews in trip advisor which were great. stayed 19th - 23rd august. 2 adults one child. room on top floor not huge but enough room. nice bathroom. staff very polite and friendly. food excellent and fresh.
only moan was that had to pay full price for a 12 year old. really its no wonder people go abroad as it is so much cheaper. having said that would definately go back.

Best hotel we've stayed at in Scarborough so far!! We booked in very last minute as we had to move out of our previous hotel because it was pretty appauling! As we were very last minute (and it was a weekend) the only room they had was the Glaisdale Suite - It was great! it had a king size bed and a connecting lounge with sofas and a huge flat screen telly and had a really nice sized bathroom with a big bath and huge power shower!!! We stayed there for Saturday & Sunday Night. The food was excellent considering this hotel was only 3 *. The Hotel was also in a great position right in the town centre! (Great for the spouse!!) Going back to the food the breakfast was wonderful! We have been to Scarborough many times and will be for years to come and have been looking for nice hotels since the first time we came. I think we have found the one! Would I return ......... Definately (infact already booked!!)

My husband and i stayed for one night in this hotel,food and every thing else was fine,but it was uncomfortably hot,no air circulation.Not a chance of sleeping in that heat!!!!

My husband and I have just returned from a five day stay at the Palm Court Hotel. We do not normally take holidays in the UK and following the awful weeks weather we were reminded why!!
However, we did not feel the least inclined to pack up early and go home (as we have done in the distant past) thanks to the friendly and polite staff.
The location was very good even if a little noisy due to building works opposite during the day. My husband was very pleased with the parking facility as we soon realised that this could be a problem here.
The bedrooms were very comfortably furnished, lovely bed and pillows the best we have ever encountered in a 3 star Hotel. Although we did not stay in a premier room as these were already booked the standard room was perfectly acceptable.
The food was very good, well presented and had sweets to die for(I should know I have put on three pounds in weight!!). All in all rather a great find I think and when the weather does improve and we feel like another try at a British seaside for a break we shall most certainly return here. Highly recommended.
