“Do not understand the bad reports!!!!!!!”

I stayed at this hotel in the beginning of this year and totally do not understand the poor reports it has been receiving. I would not normally leave comments after staying in a hotel but felt i needed to to let people know this hotel is not like it is being portrayed. I was down in scarborough for a weekend to see some friends and for the nightlife and was satisfied with the hotel staff, breakfast, cleanliness and most definately the location. It is only a few minutes walk from all shops, restaurants, the beach and amusements and the nightlife. If you too are considering scarborough whether it is for family weekend, girl/boys weekend away or whatever your reason then i would recommend skikero hotel to any one!!!!!

“HOTEL?!?!?!?!?!?!?”

Skikero Hotel

A very poorly run hotel, we booked a double room with an en-suit but was presented with a twin room WITHOUT any toilet facilities. To go to the toilet we had to walk down the dark dingy corridor to a cramped little room which you had to walk side-ways in to get in! The windows clearly didnt fit and all through the night it sounded like a tornado was blasting its was across the room! When we had come to terms with the room we tried to push the beds together and there was half a foot difference with the height of them both! The carpet was stained and poorly laid and the decorating looked as if it had been done that day 20mins before we had arrived. All throughout the "hotel" it smelt of stale smoke and all the walls were stained with it aswell so the only time i would suggest this hotel would be to someone who has a keen intrest in peoples safety and has a warrent in there back pocket!!!

And the parking! well, they gave us a card which we had to scratch off the details and then park 1/4 of a mile down the road! I personally had a bad knee at the time and my wife was tierd, so to lug our luggage up a hill to the waiting imagrant with a fag hanging out of his mouth was most annoying, let alown trting to find a space!

It looks as if the other reviews on this site tell the same story so take our advise! DONT GO THERE!!!!

I would not recommend this "hotel" to any one and i strongly suggest them reviewing the hotel again and prehaps contacting trading standards!

We stayed in this hotel quite a while ago but I didn't use Trip Advisor then (unfortunately!) so I'm writing a review now..
All I can say is I agree completely with the last review.. Just dreadful. We got no sleep, the window didn't fit and we had a mobile phone thrown at the window at 3am with a very drunk couple rowing on the street beneath. The bathroom was ridiculous.. No shower curtain and curled lino on the floor.
Our friends room was so small they had to come into ours in order to iron something! Another couple's bathroom door wouldn't shut which was a bit embarrassing for them, especially as they hadn't been together very long.
The fire alarm kept going off throughout the night, my boyfriend had to get up, get dressed and try and go down to sort it out; not good when he was going to be best man at a wedding the next day!
The little bar bit down stairs looks nice.. but BE WARNED the rest of it is awful.. Don't go under any circumstances!

i will start by saying that pictures of this hotel on various websites bare little resemblance to the place itself . most of the ground floor that you see is a separately run restaurant . the entrance is a shabby doorway on the left hand side . the foyer being dark and dingy. our double en suite room had an over bath shower with no panel or curtain . the ceiling light in the main room didnt work at all and the old windows didnt fit properly .the noise outside on an evening was unbearable . the neighbours to the right were very noisy banging doors and shouting through the night the police visited 4 times during our 2 night stay . the blinds in the rooms were useless. on the 2nd morning of our stay while the children were showering the water went off completely with no warning whatsoever . nobody could offer an explanation . this lasted in excess of 2 hours . when we discussed this with the manageress she took no responsibility and blamed the water company for not giving them any warning . however i had already visited the hairdressers next door and they told me they had some warning that it was going to happen . it was a truly terrible stay . visit at your own risk
