Me and my boyfriend stayed here for one night just to get out of our houses and go out for a few drinks. Parking is a pain, the library car park is now shut, so park in the Mall car park or you will find yourself getting up and out at midnight to put more money on your car ticket (Luton are very sneaky at getting you for parking tickets believe me). The room itself was ok, however not worth the extra money I paid to get the window room, the window is sealed shut and I found this a problem as I wasn't getting any fresh or cold air, I was boiling. Don't charge for something I can't use! It also looked onto other rooms and down onto a pub smoking area, I felt very insecure so had to keep the blind closed otherwise other rooms could see me lying in bed! And expect fag burns on the window sills! (How this works I don't know what with sealed windows) The room itself apart from that was rather good, tiny but good. The bathroom was nice and clean and the shower was suprisingly powerful. One criticism of the cleanliness would be that whilst me and my partner re-made the bed (someone had failed to tuck it in properly) we moved the bed slightly only to find someone elses condom packet down the side of the bed, which felt slightly awkward. If you are going to pay for the TV make sure you enquire with the receptionist first about who controls the main tv box, as whenever me and the boyfriend found a channel we liked, right on cue "the skybox is about to go on standby" would happen, so i think the receptionist may have the main remote to have to keep pressing it every now and then to stop this happening. Also, don't expect to be able to get into the building past about midnight with your keycard, they don't seem to work on the outside doors and me and my boyfriend had to wait for the night receptionist to finish whatever it was he was doing before he realised we were knocking and came to the door balancing a coffee and pot noodle!
If your purpose is to stay for one night after a night out, graduation or if you have an early morning flight then I would recommend it, but any longer than two nights it isn't suitable. I recommend the Luton Kebab House if you get peckish as this is just across the road and you can trust the food from here, DO NOT go to AFC Chicken just down the road from the hotel, however the store beside it is fantastic and cheap for all your needs, and the Desert Rose is apparently really good for a sit in meal and a smoke of shisha!
With or without a window makes no difference at this hotel unless you fancy a dingy view of pub smok...
