We stayed there the night before New Year, the hotel was quiet, the lull before the storm.
The standard room had more than the average UK motel, plenty of tea/coffee etc ironing board & iron, hairdryer, and plenty of bathroom goodies.
We over looked over the small putting green and motorway, the triple glazing ensured we had a quiet night. I also spotted a working air conditioning unit. The decor was fresh, and the bed comfortable, with an added throw and cushions. The rate we paid for B&B and evening meal was very good, and worked out cheaper than the *travel* places, by booking online.
Breakfast was good, waitress service and choice from the continental buffet, a full choice of freshly cooked food, real coffee, various teas, lots of real fruit, and honest sausages !
Booking in was easy and the staff polite and available.

We booked at short notice for a christmas do nearby and the booking was dealt with efficiently.

They warned us there was a christmas party on and so it might be noisy and they also warned us that the restaurant was therefore closed - however they also offered an excellent rate because of this.

check in was easy and quick (with a receptionist that was just a little bit too enthusiastic!).

Room was a standard motel type place. everything we needed/expected. Had no problems with noise.

Breakfast was actually quite good - full table service and food freshly cooked. Service was excellent.

Would not stay here agin. Please do not be deceived by the photo on the website of this hotel, the M62 runs directly behind. Internally, the decor is very shabby and stank of smoke. Was woken by tv set on full blast at 4am followed by loud conversation for the next 6 hours with hotel packed full of 'foreign guests'. Room was dusty and dirty in places, very dated with peeling wallpaper and horrible brown decor.
