We stayed at the Cedar Court in May 2006 for our wedding night and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The room was beautiful, the staff were excellent (except one female receptionist who was very rude) and the food was to die for!
It's in a great location, easy to find and a huge car park surrounded by set gardens and lawns. Conveniently located for travel to anywhere being on a junction of one of the main motorways of the north.

Hotel is acceptable, rooms are generally clean, if very noisy however the front desk service leaves a lot to be desired. Customers skipping lines are openly welcomed whilst others who wait their turn are greeting with disdain. I suspect many front of house staff are on some sort of local employment scheme as they are not even appropriately dressed.

I spent 2 days at the Cedar Court with my Husband. We found it easy to find ,just off the motorway. We found at £45 aroom it was good value, although I have stayed at nice 4* Hotels we couldn,t complain with this. The staff were friendly and helpful.The rooms wen,t too simular to those found in a travel lodge.The gym was well equipped, we did not use the pool. Breakfasts were good, plenty to choose from.We booked a meal in the restraunt which was okaye,more like pub food dressed up to be A LA Carte, to be honest, we went into Huddersfield the next evening and there is loads of far nicer restraunts to choose from. With it being a weekend there was a school prom on it was quite noisey , so much for a romantic evening in the Hotel, I felt like I was in the way of a school disco. All in all it was very good value but if I had paid more I would not have been that impressed with it. From the outside it looks more like a motorway service building and there was no real atmosphere inside.

Everything about the Cedar court was excellent. After booking my stay I had difficulty in finding transport to the hotel as my flight was due to arrive into east midlands which is about 1 1/2 hours away. On calling the Hotel, i spoke to Ellen in reservations who gave me my variuos options of travel in great detail. She called the Airport to ask about rail connections and bus routes. So when i finally landed at the Airport my journey was smooth to the Hotel. When we got there the receptionists were very friendly and proffesional. Overall our stay was great and well done to the team and especially the reservationist for going beyond her call of duty to help me. The staff in this establishment were some of the best i've seen in the world.
